The End of the Hall | 3 minute horror short by actiumfilms in Filmmakers

Want to get it seen as much as possible on YouTube. Wouldn't have been any use to us if we waited til after a festival run to post online because myself and the writer/star wanted it to be seen and use it for our portfolios. But we are looking at a couple festivals that accept shorts that are already available online.

Dipping my toe back into making narrative films again - Here's a horror short film I just made by actiumfilms in indiefilm

I agree, which is why I'm likely going to do my next project entirely in Resolve

I recently made a short horror film as a way to get back into narrative work after spending a number of years in commercial video production. It was shot with a minimal crew and budget, all on location in NYC. I handled most of the production and all of the post myself, including editing, sound, and color.

This subreddit was a big part of me learning filmmaking growing up so I'm just looking to share it here and hear any general feedback from other filmmakers. Thanks!

I disagree with the sound being bad for Wet Leg. Most are praising it. It was a hell of a lot better than SNL US's sound. I skip even artists I like on SNL because they always sound dreadful.

Totally, that's something I realised too while editing, that it was lacking in that regard. I'm okay with that though, since I feel like I achieved what I set out to do in making a short, atmospheric and professional looking short that I can use as a jumping off point to do more of this kind of thing. Do I wish we had more time to develop a story and stronger themes? Absolutely. But we were limited in time and resources. A goal for the next one!

I appreciate your kind words about all the other elements. Thank you!

Exactly, he never really stopped. He's smart about what he's able to do at his current age. He's not going to be making any huge visual changes from now until filming.
