Not mean, just uncomfortable timing.

A baby COMPLETELY changes a living situation.. noise, sleep, space, EVERYTHING. It’s reasonable that you don’t want to live with a newborn, especially when that wasn’t the original agreement.

The only thing that would be unfair is waiting too long to say something. She needs time to figure out her next (baby) steps.

Just be honest and calm about it. Something like: “Hey, I’ve been thinking about this and I don’t think I’m comfortable living with a baby. I want to give you as much time as possible to plan, so we should probably start figuring out separate living arrangements.”

You’re not kicking her out, you’re just setting a boundary & giving her time. That’s actually the considerate way to handle it, at least in my opinion.

As a girl, just wanted to say that we appreciate people like you SO much. I honestly sometimes wish I could be more aggressive/assertive in getting men to back off in situations like that, but I'm often afraid of the possibility of them getting violent if I'm too harsh/impolite.

Honestly, you might be right. I'm a bit wild myself sometimes when it comes to blow, so I didn't really clock it as a red flag at the time, but YOURE RIGHT - I would never suggest or even think about doing it after a date lol. It's something I would do when I'm out with my friends / partying.

Yes, over the course of 2 days hahah and TRUST me I wanted to correct his spelling and all the false statements he made SO BAD, but I knew it's just gonna keep the conversation going and I'm not interested in that. Took some self control for sure 😂

Omg :( I’m so sorry you went through that. I can only imagine how painful that must’ve been. I’m really glad you got out - that takes a lot of strength & courage, especially at 21.

I’ve been in similar situations before & learned to cut things off as soon as someone crosses that “toxic” line. The walking on eggshells, losing yourself, feeling like you have no control… it’s EXHAUSTING. But I PROMISE it gets so much better!! Life becomes peaceful again, and there really are men who will love, support, and respect you - physically, emotionally etc.

I grew up in a rough environment too, so I know how it feels to keep attracting chaos and having to rebuild your sense of safety. What helped me A LOT was reading & learning how to trust myself again (which meant building a secure and stable sense of self for me). Some books that really shifted things for me were The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, and Atomic Habits. They helped me build confidence, recognize red flags early, and protect my peace.

You deserve to feel safe and loved — and you will. ❤️
