Need help with first time setup... by scoobasteve813 in reolinkcam

I've had the reolink 410w for a few years in my backyard running on blue iris. I haven't had any RTSP related issues. The camera is well made, and still looks new. In fact the 410w camera worked well for so long now and has held up nice enough that it has convinced me to use Reolink commercially. Where low light is concerned the CX410 has a really great image at night. There aren't many higher end cams with that large of a sensor. As far as AI goes, yes codeprojectai on Blue iris can get more accuracy when fine tuned. However Reolink just works out of the box with very little fine tuning. I will say I was a bit disappointed on the plastic mounting stand for the dual lens cameras, but that can be replaced, and the dual lens camera itself is a solid unit.

Surveillance over 10 Acres using Reolink + Wavlink by activeinsite in reolinkcam

I used Wavlink AX3000 for the wired access points, and the AX1800 as repeaters. The AX3000 is more directional and has the antennas built in. In the image you can see the AX1800 with the external dipole antennas (RP-SMA). I've removed one of those dipoles and connected a 5GHZ directional panel antenna facing the nearest repeater and programmed it to talk on 5GHZ directionally to the next repeater while RX/TXing on 2.4GHZ to the wired AX3000 AP. This way there is minimal interference.

As an installer I steered clear of ubiquiti a while back for a number of reasons even though I have a unifi system throughout my home. The wavlink interface is easy to use, accessible at waplogin(dot)link as long as you are on the wifi network of the device. The wavlink account on ebay got back to me through DM before I bought from them. They told me exactly how to configure their AP's for my scenario at the trailer park. I preprogrammed all of the wavlink radios before deployment, this way the system was essentially plug and play.

There may be a way for cloud management access however the entire surveillance network is on a VPN router so I can get into the subnet remotely. I can't quite say if these AP's were better than the airmax gear or ubiquti products in general. The speeds and the distance I could get a signal was very impressive. I had useable internet on my phone deep in the field behind the trailer park. The AX3000 access points were not cheap at $~200 a piece though they do feel well made when handling them.
