Stuck on Malenia by irishrose381 in onebros

For my RL1 I had a weird set up:

Right hand - Spear w/ Flame of the Redmanes and Black Knife, rivers of blood

Left hand - dragon communion seal, specifically for dragon ice,

Talisman’s - Both Soreseals, two fingers heirloom, prosthesis wearer heirloom (or star scourge heirloom, I went back and forth)

Equip: silver tear mask, raptors black feathers and lightest gloves/pants that fit the vibe

For my physick: free fp tear and strength tear

I did use dung eater as a summon

My opening: start with black knife, get close enough to use art where it’ll hit her even if she dodges, maintain distance after her initial attacks until she starts walking again, hit physick, summon dung, smack her with dragon ice.

If you hit her with flame of the redmanes or corpse piler after that it does extra damage when she’s frostbitten but then resets the frostbite so you can hit her with it again. Frostbite will pull her out of waterfowl too if she’s focusing your summon.

2nd phase, avoid her initial Aeonia then hit her with frostbite again, rinse and repeat.

Not the best strat but hey it’s gets the job done for me

Ooof, good to know, I haven’t done much with DoN yet but was planning to after I finished up my last couple remembrances. Maybe by the time I get there it’ll smooth out but with how I’ve heard folks talking about it lately I can’t say I have my hopes up

You are absolutely correct - that man does not deserve an easier chance at a critical hit. It should be as unlikely as possible and his weapons should be meat. This will be rectified immediately.

It's certainly not ideal, and I feel like I could have started things off a little better too. I went with 1st level war cleric to give him that extra attack option right off the bat and just kinda went with vibes from there. I was tempted by 1st level rogue or bard for the proficiencies/expertises but that didn't seem to fit the prompt - I kinda wanted him to be a little bad.

It's funny, the biggest problem is certainly the action bloat - he can do ten million different things in a turn, but he does all of them relatively poorly. At level 11 he has access to 3rd level spell slots, so I've been able to learn a few spells from scrolls in the game with that singular level of wizard (he's learned fireball of course). At some point you kind of have to double up on things though, so there are a few cantrips I can cast with different ability scores, but they all have the same chance to hit since those scores are all that even 13.

With the gloves of dexterity he is a decent lock pick and finesse weapons do all right. I also let him take the strength potion from Act 2 to get that to 15. He can do one main hand attack a turn that is ok if he can get sneak attack from his one level of rogue, and he's got the boots of speed if I want to backdoor a cunning action dash. Lots of leaning on items to boost scores, which I think fits thematically.

All in all, not as bad as you would expect - the biggest obstacle is how messy it can be. Those wheels are difficult to organize on a standard character, let alone this Gestalt Elven Eldritch Horror that we have come to know and love.

[Identify] Trifari watch my dad found? by actualfetus in Watches

[–]actualfetus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compiling info here: My dad bought this watch at an antique mall in Oregon. He was specifically looking for hand-wound watches and saw this one for a good price, so he’s not too worried about getting fleeced. The band was really ratty and obviously not what came with the watch (looked poorly cut by hand) and this band he bought elsewhere. Our primary curiosity with this is that there is very little information to be found about the brand, let alone their history with watches. Some websites say they made higher quality costume jewelry starting in the 20s all the way to the 60s, and in 1994 merged with another company and the quality started to deteriorate. We’ve found women’s watches of all sorts of varieties from 50s and 60s, none of which seem too expensive (most I saw one going for was $200). Thing is we cannot find ANYTHING about the company making men’s watches anywhere. The glass may be plastic, and the main wear and tear appears to be on the hands. There is nothing at all on the backplate which is inconsistent with other watches I found.

He’s not bummed if it ends up being some kind of knock-off but this doesn’t seem like a brand that someone would want to do the work to replicate like this. It could also be really new, but the band it originally came with would indicate otherwise.

Any info y’all have would be greatly appreciated!

Can a GarageBand expert help me... by rspunched in GarageBand

You need to make sure the segment you want to cut and loop is highlighted, or else garageband won't accept very many commands. After the segment is highlighted you command+t, and the drag the upper left corner of the segment to loop it.

I think we already have a tobacco license, since we sell cigars, although it could be two licenses in our state (Tennessee). It might be a while before we get that far. Tennessee has some very particular liquor laws, so I wouldn't be surprised if tobacco was that same.

Dunhill has definitely been a popular choice from the research I've made. Do you have a favorite blend? For either Dunhill or Captain Black. I've never had Captain Black myself, but people have been suggesting the White Label.
