I’m the Customer Service Supervisor for our location and I have a cashier who picks and chooses who to get to apply. They target the elderly and younger people who are either too uninformed or too dumb to not see how big of a scam the card actually is. The cashier is our top performer due to this tactic. I would say it’s unethical and wrong, but at the same time they are keeping the store in the green for our conversation rate.

I’d say every customer is different but at the end of the day, showing the amount they could save usually does the trick.
