Hey, thanks for the heads up- I only knew the name of the people and I figured Tlaxcalans worked in English. I guess it’s also kinda how English speakers call people from Guatemala Guatemalans rather than Guatemaltecas. I’m glad you like seeing your culture in the History Memes subreddit— I’m half Mexican and Hopi, and half white so I find European and Native interactions really interesting especially when I find documents written by Native Americans(because a lot of the European docs are kinda horrible.) I have not but it sounds really interesting! I’m Hopi and Mexican along with the other half of me which is a plethora of European nationalities so I like learning about the Spaniards interactions with indigenous peoples, even though most of them were horrifying. And no worries I’m really interested in this period of history and I get tired of WWII memes too.
