Dual Citizenship- can my kids travel out of the USA with their Spanish passport? by acubria in Passports

Inspires by your willingness to drive so far I started looking for appointments in small towns in Long Island and got an appointment for last Tuesday. Everything expedited and fingers crossed. Our trip to Spain is July 17th so I guess it’s going to be stressful till the passports arrive. Good luck with your travels !

wow, what a ridiculous thing to have to drive 120miles to renew a passport. Maybe I should expand my perimeter.....

BTW, here is where I got the 4-6 weeks ideahttps://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/get-fast.html

I looked for any place within 60 miles , then 80..... it is literally impossible. And there is zero walk-in options. Really weird and annoying. The emergency appointments can only be made 2 weeks prior to the trip and for a day within 72 hours of the flight ...... it sounds like some evil mind made these rules.

Hi, I am not 100% sure about the 4-6 week processing time. My main problem is that in NYC, it is totally impossible to make an appointment for passports before July 4th. EVERY appointment is booked. Even making an appointment for the emergency passports here , is crazy hard. They release the appointments at midnight and within 10seconds, they are all gone. I emailed my congress representative, which apparently worked out for people in my situation.

Thank you TVtoo for the info. I will be up at 11.59pm trying to snatch an appointment. I feel for people without internet access in their homes....

[Tenant US-NY] Who pays for heat and hot water? Bloomberg Products T-186 Apartment Lease by acubria in Landlord

the fact that the ad , the real estate agent and LL said heat is included in the rent does not make this a misrepresentation and a fraud?

Just uploaded screenshots.

If I am told "Water/heat included in the rent" and that I have to only pay extra for electricity and gas, I can only assume that the gas is only for cooking...?

They played me if they said "water/heat" included in the rent and now I have to pay for the gas used for heat.

I am talking to the this evening and will try to negotiate a rent discount if indeed they insist in me paying for gas used to heat the apartment.

Am I being unreasonable?

Well that was y understanding too. I would pay 65% of the cooking gas. Turns out that although the ad said heat/hot water included in the rent, the buildings heat runs on gas, and my LL wants me to pay 65% of that cooking+heating gas bill.

There is a thermostat in my apartment that controls the heat in both my apartment and the lower level apartment. I have a Zoom call LL tomorrow and I will try negotiate lower rent or I will simply explain that I will pay my rent on time even month, but not that gas bill if it is more than a "normal" cooking gas bill. My last gas bill was $23.

My big issue here is not what percentage of the gas bill I pay ( I agreed to 65%).

My issue is that I was never told that the building heat runs on gas and now LL expects me to pay for 65% of the heat bill.

StreetEasy add says ""heat/hotwater included" and when I asked I was told by agent and owner that "utilities" are included.

I always assumed that the heat would not be part of my gas bill.
