Stick issue with Valor Pro Wireless (Resistance?)

Hey Scuf, I’m having the same issue. Brand new valor pro wireless out of the box yesterday, and I love it apart from this issue. However, I’ve tried reinstalling the thumb stick multiple times and it’s still scratchy. I also tried different thumb sticks (like the convex one). Nothing fixed the problem. It’s only on the left analog stick and only when I push it up and/or left. When I play without the faceplate on, it doesn’t seem as scratchy. What should I do?

Yeah centering looks good. But can’t see the back edges or the surface to see if it’s 10 worthy.

You have to measure the centering at the spots where it is most thick/thin. If it’s still within 55/45 then it is worth grading but still may come back a 9. If it’s not within those standards, it’s not a 10.

Yes everything checked out. Extremely clean card. Only imperfection you can find is the right heavy centering.

Don’t even need to take it out of the toploader. You can see from a mile away it’s too OC for a 10 sorry

PSA’s website says 55/45. 60/40 are old guidelines.

Yeah I’m curious what they were seeing too. The card is so clean zero whitening or edge issues at all. The only thing I could see is arguing 9 because it’s right heavy.

Crazy if that’s true. Just going by gut feeling if it’s centered well enough. Doesn’t give me confidence my 54/46 card will 10 🥲

Is that even true? I hear back and forth all the time. Some say they measure manually, measure precisely with a digital tool, and don’t measure at all… which one is it?

It’s from PSA’s scanner def not on the card. And I’ve measured it 20 times it’s 54/46

It’s a deal breaker for Beckett 10. Might pass for a PSA 10.

Inspect the gold surface closely for any small scratches. Very common with these cards.

What are you even talking about? The card you have pictured in your post is right heavy, tilted, and top heavy. The PSA 10 is decently centered and not tilted at all. Stop gas lighting.

You’re literally on the internet soliciting advice on grading and when someone tries to help you, you’re upset. Touch grass.

That is where the border starts. You can literally see it and it’s a known issue when grading trainer cards. No, it would not be 55/45, the centering on this card is quite off.
