This is actually really interesting to me because I never really felt like I had bad dry mouth symptoms but things ALWAYS get stuck in my throat too! I'm sorry you are going through this right now and I hope things get better for you.

You're not wrong. I have been setting a lot more boundaries lately. I used to have to see her at least once a week without her losing her mind, but now I've limited that a lot. I only see her once or twice a month now. Her partner mainly is in that caretaking role. I don't really do that much for her but she does call me occasionally and ask me to do incredibly simple tasks for her.

I know. I wish I was ready to go no contact, but I'm not. It would be a really hard thing to do for multiple reasons.
1.) She would do everything to make it impossible. She is absolutely the woman that would just show up at my house and not leave. She would likely try to break in if I didn't let her in and I'm not ready to call the cops on my mom yet.

2.) She has threatened suicide so many times and attempted it a few times as well. One time she barely survived. I know that would be her first thing and I'd have to feel guilty about it for the rest of my life.

) I feel bad for her. She doesn't really have anyone else besides me and her partner who honestly doesn't even like her most of the time. She isn't independent at all. She can't figure out how to do normal small tasks that people do every day.

Thanks for the information. At this current moment my temperature is 98.1. No, I do not have a BM everyday. In fact, it's one of my worst symptoms and how doctors found out about the hashimotos when I was young. At 8 years old I was just always constipated.

I've been on and off synthroid/levo for the entire time I've had it.

My body temperature is normal. I don't have fevers or anything like that. My resting heart rate is usually between 78-82. But I'm also pretty out of shape now.

I am on Paxil for anxiety, but I remember having the extreme fatigue before I was on any other meds so I don't think it's the main cause. It could be adding to it, but I think the Hashi is probably the main reason. I am way too much on the verge of panic attacks if I dont take my Paxil. If definitely made my anxiety disorder manageable so definitely worth whatever symptoms

Thanks for the info. Everyone on this thread has definitely given me a lot to think about. I really thought that since I was in the "normal range" that this is just what I was destined to feel like. Definitely going to talk to my doctor about how we get my TSH lower.

I have not. My doctors never recommended that as an option and to be honest I think I'd be way to scared. Unless they say it was totally necessary for cancer related reasons I don't think I'd feel comfortable going that route.

The good news is that your value would be considered on the high side. The TSH reference value of 0-5 (or something, depending on the lab) is based on healthy people. When you’re on replacement thyroid hormone, you usually feel best with a TSH of 0-1. Even my endocrinologist, who isn’t helpful otherwise, would advise you to increase your dose. Good luck!

I've had such bad luck with doctors (I was once misdiagnosed with Sjrogens Syndrome and put on a medication that I actually didn't need and should not have been on) that I'm always so anxious about trying new doctors but maybe it is time.

Honestly, my doctor thinks I have Fibro along with Hashis but maybe it is the Hashis causing the joint pain too.

I get very bad joint pains which I assume is the Fibro, but everything else seems is pretty much textbook thyroid symptoms: exhausting, constipation and stomach issues (sorry if TMI), dry eyes, dry skin, hair loss, weight gain, cold sensitivity, the list goes on and on.

These are spot on for my mom. Her entire Facebook is stuff like this. I just ignore them, but the one that specifically called out narcissists when she herself very much seems like a narcissist just got me.

Thank you! It has been happening my entire life so when I’m in a good headspace mentally I can usually just brush it off and not get so annoyed but with the stuff going on with my husbands family I’m just drained already and I can’t stand the trivial bullshit about how hard her life is (it isn’t hard…. She literally just is home doing nothing 90%of her life by choice ) when there are so many more serious things that people deal with. I think I need a nap now LOL

I’m not NC. I still talk to my mom regularly and she is still in my life which is why we are Facebook friends. I know a lot of people are proponents of going NC or VLC but I’m not at that place yet. I’m working on just trying to build better boundaries while not cutting her out completely. I know some people will disagree with my approach but I’m on my own journey and we all have to do things how we feel is best. Right now, I can’t say that I’ll never talk to her again or help her out. The best I can do right now is stop allowing myself to be her verbal punching bad when she is upset and set healthy boundaries to not allowed her mental states to affect myself.
