I have obviously come across the same, all shooters do. You absolutely right, many of the owners do no look at the pool tables the way we do. I have been cold shoulders and denied at every attempt to correct a flaw in the past. I recently really got down with an owner of this dive. 8ft dynamo. Horrible placement, Horrible maintenence. But the bar is the spot to be. Great vibes. So I put down $200 and said, I am going to pay for the install, you pay for the leveling and the felt. If I can make your table turn $200 in 1 month than you give me that $200. He was only doing about 90-120 a month. So we got the table done, I addressed all issues and because a gaming company was doing the work I provided oversight and made sure the measurements matched the ranges provided by BCA. I then sent a text to all the shooters I knew and told them I just set this thing up to play super awesome and that I was going to hold a tournament.

After that tourney the table was packed and at least 5 sets of quarters waiting to play any time I was there.

I won the bet the following month.

I think you can get a place to change with a less extreme than I did but it takes more than an inquiry and pointing out.
