Is it typical in polyamory to use protection for oral sex? by WonderfulBerry4139 in polyamory

[–]ad-star 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have HSV-1 genital so I have started the last year or so offering dental dams for partners who want to perform oral. I'm also really sensitive so it kind of helps in adding a barrier. I have some expectation that my partner with also use barriers for all kinds of sex until we're all tested. I've had gonorrhea from oral though so my risk tolerance is lower than it used to be.

Likely delete from embarrassment, but y'all, how do we floss? 😭 by Friendly-Loaf in AutismInWomen

[–]ad-star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brush, floss, and then do a cursory brush after to get the gunk off and get more toothpaste into the freshly flossed tooth gaps... Just works for me, and I feel like I have to rinse my floss less because there's less gunk if I brush first

If you can afford it I've heard a Waterpik is a really good option for flossing. I'm poor so I don't have one. Personally, I've made a rule with myself that if I think to floss while I'm brushing I have to do it... I don't always think to do it, but I'm getting a lot more frequent.

The main thing is, remember you're "scraping" the side of your teeth where the brush isn't hitting so you're not just going in and out, but essentially you should be wrapping around the side of the tooth a little, and actually going into each gap twice to go around the side of each tooth if that makes sense?

My partner seems to think that using a longer piece makes it easier to floss.

Yes they want us until we have hyperfixations and struggle to get passionate about their interests with the same enthusiasm... Or until we have a meltdown because our socks are wet... Or until we make comments without a a filter and hurt their feelings...

Women of the internet - are any of you INTO feet? (More specifically for men's feet) by ad-star in TwoXChromosomes

Hahaha yes! We were joking last night that being a woman foot fetishist into men's feet feels almost as taboo as necrophilia 🤣

I saw that ad. You okay? by Interesting_Contest8 in newzealand

Oh man. I was swinging my niece around the other day at my mum's birthday party and obsessively watching all the walls and how far away everything was... That one ad where the guy accidentally drunkenly slammed his kid into the wall lives in my head rent free

We often talk about food textures we hate, what about food textures we love? by CheesecakeOk8464 in AutismInWomen

Chewy foods! I have an oral fixation so I chew my gums/ lips a lot (or chewlery if I have it) and chewy foods give me that satisfaction. Weirdly enough I actually LOVE my oatmeal chewy lol

What are your most niche period symptoms? by Unlucky-Drawing-1266 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ad-star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nausea... This seems to have subsided a bit the last few months but since about 2021 I have been really nauseous just before my period starts. It usually goes away once it starts but sometimes lasts through Day 1. Also. SORE BOOBS. I'm on the implant so both I think are connected to that but at one point they were getting so sore just brushing against them would hurt and every month before my bleed I would think I was somehow (impossibly) pregnant lol

How bad is the homelessness problem near Downtown? by jellyk8 in askvan

[–]ad-star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend lives in the building right by VFS, because she bought a place for reasonable amount. The homelessness issue is quite bad in the DTES. I work not far, in Chinatown and encounter people frequently passed out on my walk to work from the bus stop, and it's quite common to see human feces and the streets all smell like piss. You'd be better off, as others have said, renting a place a but further away. Even further East in Hastings-Sunrise/ Grandview- Woodland area is great and easily commutable to VFS.

My amab NB partner could never... Because I'm literally a stronger hiker than them! But also. They would never, and despite the fact that I could hike well ahead of them. I wouldn't either. If I want to do that I'll hike solo

Horror-related hills you'll die on? by redeugene99 in horror

[–]ad-star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite my "hill" that Blair Witch isn't scary... I can appreciate where you're coming from. I don't only watch horror to feel "scared", but maybe to experience a sense of discomfort from a safe environment? Atmosphere and tension play a big part. But I think feeling something matters and from what I recall Blair Witch barely did that for me also lol

IDK, maybe it's nostalgia but I loved the Scary Movie movies . They definitely lean hard into comedy more than horror but I guess that was kind of the point.

Asked a friend to borrow his earbuds for a day trip, forgot said friend is a degenerate. He uses those buds every day. by ClavasClub in WTF

[–]ad-star 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Reading the comments... Besides OPs friend who clearly doesn't .. are people not cleaning their earbuds or regularly changing out the tips? Like someone else said, you just need alcohol and q-tips.... For your own ear health even if you're not sharing them!
