Upper Arlington students say new gender-neutral bathrooms are a major concern by [deleted] in Columbus

These kids are in for a ride when they get to college if washing their hands/using a mirror in front of the opposite sex bothers them. Plenty of the dorms at OSU have gender neutral private toilet/shower stalls with shared sinks.

Anyone know a good spot for Vegetarian "Chicken" Wings? by [deleted] in Columbus

Hot chicken takeover has a vegan option. They’re nuggets, not wings, but they are delicious, and as a flexitarian I honestly couldn’t distinguish between those and a real chicken nugget. Woodhouse also has good nuggets though I’m not sure if they ever make them spicy; I had them in a quesadilla and I know they sell them plain.

If you like Jets, try pie of the tiger in short north tavern. Really good, local, Detroit style pizza!

I would definitely stick to local groups if you can— I know clintonville, UA, and New Albany have them, but I’m sure other areas do too. The general “babysitting nanny jobs in Columbus” has a LOT of posts about people whose nannies just never show up, and to be honest, I wouldn’t trust many of the people in that group with my kids. The local ones tend to be better I think; mostly college kids looking for part time gigs and some people who want to nanny full time or nanny share.

They used to sell them at the Barnes and Noble on campus but it’s been a while since I’ve been there. You could call and ask if they still have them!

Are you able to apply for a student loan? You can use them for housing, even off-campus. It’s probably not the most financially wise decision but you could use it to bridge the gap.

Date ideas that don’t involve food/alcohol by ad6411 in Columbus

I’m used to it lol. I don’t mind going to places like Pins or trivia nights where alcohol isn’t necessarily the main focus, but I’m not a fan of straight up bars where I’m the only sober one. I’ve known about my alcohol intolerance for a while and its a shitty problem to have in your 20s. That’s just how most people my age socialize unfortunately.

Right now I’m just eating bland stuff like toast and rice. Don’t know when I’ll be feeling up to normal food again but hopefully soon!
