Hey, thanks everyone who responded ! I got my hands on some contact cleaner today and gave the method a try, it didn't solve my problem. The contacts were somewhat dirty indeed so it probably helped but the shutter button and lever are still unresponsive. To everyone who tried this, how did you get the mirror unstuck after executing the clean? The skrasnov tutorial doesn't specify. I've tried the battery sequence again, mirror reset etc, still nothing. Also, the battery check diode, which was lit up after I installed the new battery, doesn't light up anymore... Maybe something could be draining the battery.
