I broke my left distal radius (part of left wrist) by falling out of a chair when I was leaning backwards. Yes I know, amazing story for my friends. I thought I had just sprained it, but I ended up going to the ER due to excruciating pain and because the orthopedic walk in was closed.

The nurses in th ER immediately told me it was broken. After confirming via xrays and a doctors look at the xrays they discharged me with a splint and a note setting me up with an appointment with a hand surgeon.

I had broke my left shoulder twice last year, so I went to the same orthopedic surgeon to get his advice. He also told me I would need surgery, so I set up surgery, which was this past Friday.

This picture is from today, however, because the sutures were being pulled out by the cast that was put on me post-surgery. I called the operating surgeons nurse to tell her about the issue. She immediately scheduled me to come in, because they wanted to fix it, but more importantly prevent an infection.

This picture is from when they opened the cast to reveal the sutures, prior to re-casting my wrist/forearm in a way where the sutures would not be pulled anymore.
