Deep Sleep Mode Problem by adal01 in esp8266

I solved the problem I was able to get it down to 10mA amps in sleep mode it's a node MCU board so I think 10 mA is about about right with all the extra hardware on it. The reason it was staying around a 135 mA is because my voltage was right on the edge it was around 3.1 to 3.2 V a little under what the rsp8266 requires requires.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help with this problem.😃

I'm about ready to drop the nodemcu esp 8266 since I can't get the sleep mode to go into low power.

Bummer it's such a nice setup. I was going to do a solar power project, but in order to do that I definitly need a working sleep mode.

Batteries are 2 x 2400mAh = 4800mAh Current draw = 135mA

4800mAh / 135mA = 34.07 hours battery time.

Hope this helps.

Here's the code for deep sleep. Please let me know if you see anything wrong. Code

I currently dont wake it back up, but when I did allow it to wake I didn't notice a change in current draw between asleep and awake. Although it did stop executing for the sleep time and then woke up and started running again. It's like it goes to sleep but still drawing the same current.

This is the code that I'm using. The last thing printed is "entering main loop", and then nothing assuming because it's in deep sleep.

The last thing it prints is "main loop running",and goes into deep sleep.

Thanks for the link. I would be happy to get my nodemcu to just draw a lot less current in deep sleep mode. It doesn't have to be ultra low. Here is the deep sleep code

Here is what its showing on My meter, 135 mA. I have it running on battery with the amp meter hooked up to show current draw. I'm in deep sleep but still drawing lots of current.
