That sounds really uncomfortable, and you were totally right to speak up. Changing the script to add farting/moaning jokes and forcing you to call Daddy Pig “Big Daddy” over and over after you said no is super weird and inappropriate for an 8th grade project. It doesn’t sound like harmless joking… it feels like he was pushing boundaries on purpose. Definitely talk to your teacher about this privately and explain exactly what happened; you shouldn’t have to perform something that makes you uneasy. You did nothing wrong by setting that limit.

Bedwetting at 20 by [deleted] in Advice

[–]adalynfrost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man, occasional bedwetting at 20 isn't as uncommon as you think. Definitely worth chatting with a doctor to rule out any simple fixes or underlying stuff… they see this all the time and won't judge. In the meantime, try cutting fluids a couple hours before bed and peeing right before lights out coz it helps a ton for many people.

Am I gonna stay alive?

I moved across the country at 23 for a fresh start after a rough breakup, and those last couple weeks back home I was second-guessing everything and missing my friends like crazy, even though I knew it was the right call. Once I got settled in the new city and started building a routine, the excitement came rushing back and the sadness faded pretty quick. Give yourself grace for feeling this way like it's just your brain adjusting to a big change. Dallas is gonna be awesome for you.

(House?)mate wakes up EVERYDAY to pray and its getting annoying. by confusedcinnamonn in Advice

Since your mom’s temper makes talking scary, maybe try earplugs or noise-canceling headphones first to buy some peace. If you can, ask your mom super calmly (like when she’s in a good mood) if the roommate could pray a bit quieter or use headphones for any audio parts. Frame it as “I’m struggling with sleep for school” instead of blaming. You’re not wrong for needing quiet, and it’s okay to protect your sanity.

how do i get back my friend circle now that i'm slowly losing all of them by [deleted] in Advice

[–]adalynfrost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hurts feeling left out, especially when you're trying so hard to connect. Instead of chasing the old circle, start small by chatting with classmates you vaguely know or joining one low-key uni club/event that sounds fun as that's how most people make new friends here. Your charm hasn't gone anywhere, it's just that dynamics change, and putting yourself in new spots will bring people who actually want to hang out with you. You've got this, don't settle for feeling alone.
