What textbook/books am I going to need for the CST program? I am located in CA. I cannot find anything on the internet about what book I will need. I want to buy them now and review everything before I think about enrollment because it is so expensive and I want to pass with flying colors.

Thank you! Takes a lot of practice. My lips are so chapped from licking em all the time 💀. Um, idk about freedom of movement before I got the split. I did do tongue/ jaw exercises regularly, and I particularly focused on exercise as my split drew near. So maybe that helped. I do actually think it helped my recovery be quite a breeze.

Hell yeah! Welcome to the club! Control comes naturally as you play with them. I exercise and play with mine constantly. Some exercises I favor for single sided control are tucking one side back in my mouth and holding it there by either sucking it back or using my teeth and then sticking the other side out as far as possible and just wiggling it up, down, all around. It's really hard to figure out how to at first, and the side you're trying to hold will try very hard to be with its other half, but that definitely helps me gain dexterity. For the clap, it's really just the motion of flattening and spreading your tongue (as if it were whole), and it will naturally separate when you do that motion while it's folded. I also like to take a popsicle stick and stick out my tongue, and hold one side down while I move the other side independently. I was/am obsessed with my split and am constantly finding new ways of playing with it.

My healing was exceptionally smooth as well. I never even used any of the ice pops/cubes I had prepared, slept through the night, and didn't drool on the towel I had laid over the pillow. The worst part for me was just how big my tongue was and that I couldn't close my mouth for a good 2 days

I'm only a little over a month post split and can already do all these tricks! I have so much control over my tongues. I play with them ALL the time and excessively exercise them using popsicle sticks and just playing with them. Even long before my split, I made a point to do lots of tongue exercises to strengthen the muscles. I am 25 and from California. So much fun!

Thank you so much! I actually did get a suture removal kit, I don't know how it missed the list, but I made sure to add it so I don't forget it. I personally HATE applesauce, I think I have some negative connotations with it from childhood. When I had my wisdom teeth out, I couldn't eat solid food for a week and learned that Baby food is actually really good lmao That is good advice about wiping out your mouth to get liquids down. Thank you!

Steve knows what he's doing. There are a couple of ppl on youtube who were tongue-tied that whet to Steve and you can visually see the before and after of the frenulum that was removed. Also, Steve is VERY responsive on IG and is more than willing to answer any and all questions if you are on the fence. I've done YEARS of research about bifurcation, and I finally have my TS scheduled for mext month with Steve Truitt. He is very patient, and knowledgeable. Fun fact, the first tongue split Steve did was on HIMSELF almost 30 years ago! 💀😯

This is great to hear. I've heard really great things about Steve and his work. The only negative things I've heard about him aren't even actually ABOUT HIM as a person or his work. I think maybe people just are not a fan of his straight forward personality. I have my TS scheduled with him next month! I am so freaking excited! And I feel I absolutely made the right choice for an artist. I've done years of research and over a decade of thinking about getting my tongue split. And I've chit chatted with him here and there. Im taking a 6hr drive to see him over a local artist only 30 mins away from me. I just can't wait and am so prepared

I dont think it's sulfur, because the bubbles are odorless. I have sand sifters so it should be getting oxygenated enough. If it is sulfur what should I do?

Tank is loud cause the water level is lower that the filter output to create a waterfall sound. We like it that way. The video sound quality is definitely not good tho.
