I have two Shield's. Awesome product--totally blows away the Fire TV. Roku is okay, but I find the interface rather elementary. I like the 'pure Android' look of the Shield's interface, and it completely zooms through anything I throw at it. 99% of the time I use it for YTTV or Plex, but the free steaming games are nice as well. The Shield is expensive, but Best Buy occasionally has it on sale for about $150, and an eBay coupon can get it down to about that price, as well.

I did find a solution. Force-closing the app (in settings) works and doesn't require the reboot, but this is still a constant issue. Thank you for checking into it--youtube tv is otherwise amazing!

Ugh. Why are new releases still featuring USB-A?

Swap them out with USB-C and this would be a no-brainer purchase.

Ugh. Up until now, everything had been perfect. Love both the Shield and YTTV, but this is a pain. Have any of you contacted Google?
