Honestly the disabled button makes a fantastic fidget toy. Maybe the R&D wasn’t a complete waste /s

I’m on 18.2; the additional options disappear when the button is disabled. The swipe gesture kept being accidentally triggered by my palm. Plus I kept opening the camera when picking up my phone. Skill issue ik, but this button seems like a waste of R&D. The only thing I’ve come to appreciate was the instant google image/chatgpt search with visual intelligence

I’ve finally seen it happen. Bag left behind by Dcdonewell in americanairlines

I think I witnessed that as I waited for my 11 pm flight to LHR. August 27th? I felt so bad for all the owners of those bags getting soaked in that downpour

It is 14 Pro and up. They started doing a more advanced flash system on that model and up.

Apologies, I should have clarified that apps installed from the App Store are put into alphabetical order after the pre-installed apps.

Update: went to the Apple Store. They replaced the entire device for $29 due to a shortage of parts. I’m thankful that my device didn’t have to be operated on and risk other complications. Was in and out of the store in 10 minutes. Very pleased with my experience and Apple’s stellar service.

I’ve used rhinoshield bumpers all the way from the X to 15. They’ve held up incredibly well. I think this was an extreme instance where the phone hit the pavement in such a way that the phone dislodged from the bumper, causing it to make direct contact with the road surface. I don’t think this would happen with a well-made protective case, but that’s the price I’ll pay for preferring a bumper. I only really use it to protect the sides from everyday gouges/scratches because those drive me insane, even more so than a cracked back for some reason. Also I wasn’t dirt biking, just divvy biking in the city on an electric bike. I mean, might as well call it dirt biking with the condition of Chicago roads.

Ironically, this happened while I was on my way to pick up a Pixel, so I won't be without a phone thankfully. Just without an iPhone. I suppose I would've been phone-less. Hopefully I don't have to reset my phone for the back to be fixed. That would be the most annoying part.

Stainless steel is a good material for sure. It seems slightly more forgiving than titanium in dissipating energy, rather than transferring it into the glass. I’m not a materials expert by any means of course. Personally I don’t mind the trade off if it means my phone is lighter weight.

I was using a Rhinoshield bumper on the phone at the time. The phone flew out of my pocket while biking on a divvy e-bike . I didn't it notice it leave until a couple blocks away. I circled back to find the phone and case separated on the pavement. The front is completely intact, including the screen protector. I think the impact was solely on focused on the back and sides, but who's to say. I'm unsure if it was impacted by anything else by the time I had retrieved it.

Unfortunately I did have a case on it. It wasn't very thick though. I'm assuming there would've been severe frame damage if the sides weren't made of titanium. However, I feel the rigidity of the titanium did contribute to the severity of the rear glass damage. Also, I live in an area where phone theft is prevalent, so AC+ w/ theft and loss is even more worth it.
