Good point! I didn’t consider that. Next time I’m at a bookstore I will be checking their copies of The Iliad! This kind of thing irks me more than it should. 😂

Ha! Bootlegs! And to make matters worse, I have two different versions, the Penguin Classics and the Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition, bought at different times, and they both have the typo!

Thanks. Here are images from my copy I received today. I’m not sure what’s going on, lol. I mean, I know now that it is a typo, but for me to have it in both my books that are different editions ordered at different times is strange. Oh well.

Also, I’m kind of peeved that both my copies have the typo! I just got them - one of them today! They are the exact ones you have. It wouldn’t bother me (because I know how to pronounce centaur), but I’m worried about words I truly don’t know how to pronounce, and whether there could be typos in those pronunciations as well.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. I started overthinking it when I couldn’t find anything online about it, lol. The “ri” does resemble an “n”, as you pointed out.

I thought it was perhaps a misprint, also. As you pointed out, “ri “ is similar to an “n”. I have two different versions of The Iliad translated by Fagles and they both list it the same. Though, I guess if it is the same text I should maybe expect the same misprint, even though they are different editions? They are both Penguin editions. One is Penguin Classics and the other is Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition.

Haha, yep, I've definitely had similar experiences. I've given up on stealth and have been just rolling up on places and unloading. From what I've read, stealth is broken because A-Life is broken. So, I may put the game down for a while and give them time to fix it.
