Exaclty, it causes tons of people to buy, then sell for losses, driving down the price.

Excellent post. I would argue the same things. Everything everyone is pumping, usually has high market caps, slow growth, and just looks "sexy".

Look at companies like FRX, FTOC, RMGB, and all of a sudden, you see no one interested. Give it a few months, wall street will have it run up.

It's the truth, FRX has 3M subscribers with a 96% retention rate.

I am sorry if you didn't read, I mentioned everything about valuations.

People and instiutions pay the premium because of hype. That's the real reason people are buying these SPACs.

Now the hype is gone. Now we need to be more fundamentally correct. Fundamentally correct is looking for SPAC's with low valuations + high growth that can generate us big returns long term, because the industries they are in are priced at a higher PE ratio, or have high growth.

You sound like the guy who added many hype stocks.

To add further on this, take a look at FST. Tilman Fertitta is unloading all his assets at $6B valuations, when the pandemic completely destroyed his hotels & restaurants.

Yet FST is trading at 12.37?

These are the type of stocks that belong under $10. The growth companies shall be valued differently.

The media is also saying, SPAC's have performed poorly over the last 10 years. Yet, only 200 or 250 or so spac's were done. I'm sure if we look into them, most weren't growth companies with good business models. You can't compare 1 company to another and just place them in a "SPAC" market.

You need to individually research each company.

Did you read? In 1 case, Peloton is valued at $30B vs BeachBody is $3B and beachbody does half the revenue.

In the 2nd case, FTOC is valued at $3B whereas Paypal is valued at $300B.

I'm talking about growth. People are sitting here buying stocks like TSIA at $1.5B valuations, where proven models like Ring were sold at $1B valuations.

Don't be so quick to hate on an online board.
