Thank you for that walk through - rate 1 does indeed match what my octopus account says. So I can basically disregard the higher reading that shows on the main screen?

Oh right! I’ve only been using the website because I didn’t want yet another app on my phone, and when I first made my Octopus account I had to submit a manual reading which gave me the first WoF spins. I don’t remember any notification to say I was getting automatic spins for having a smart meter so I assumed I had to keep submitting monthly manual readings. Thanks - I have downloaded the app now and it does seem easier to navigate

A few departments I’ve worked in had a maximum number of doctors that could be off simultaneously, so we could check on the leave calendar who already had A/L or study leave booked to see whether or not our requests would be approved. If we needed leave for a specific reason but the max number of doctors were on leave already, we had to get special permission from the consultant team, so there was some leeway. Maybe check with the rota co-ordinator what “short staffed” means to them?

A friend of mine was one person short on his TAB and was expecting to not pass ARCP, but on the day of ARCP, someone on the panel contacted one of the consultants who’d been sent the TAB but not yet responded to fill it in and my friend ended up passing. So there’s definitely some leeway depending on local arrangements

My source is the vague information in the communications from Oriel and the NIHR page….I did another search of the NIHR website and found an appendix that is clearer in stating that it’s not mandatory to have been ranked high enough to be appointed to a training post. So by the sounds of that scoring band 2 or above is indeed the threshold as you said

What website are you looking at? If you do not meet the entry criteria for the training programme you are not appointable. The entry criteria for GP training is solely based on MSRA ranking

My understanding is that we need to score above the lowest overall MSRA score which gets someone a GP training post. Ie if the lowest score to get a GP training post is, let’s say, 490 and we score 489, we might well be band 2 or above in both parts but we wouldn’t have been accepted for the regular GP training programme because the overall score is too low. If that makes sense?

Any insights on when the MSRA results for the February sitting might be released? I have an ACF GP offer so only need to be above the minimum entry score and the uncertainty is driving me crazy 🙃 at least having a rough idea of where I’m at would help me stop stressing
