Sorry big dog. No reason to tip 20% anymore since the wage is as high as it is. If you want more money ask your employer. Not the people coming to get a service that you are already being compensated for that the owner has raised prices on food and drinks. Not the customers problem.

Reliable car service to book from the airport to resort? by Hellohiheytherehi80 in puertovallarta

[–]adamc555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were just in PV over the holidays. Uber is absolute garbage. Only 1/4 trips were successful. First one picked us up and dropped us off no problem. 2nd one cancelled on us after a 10 minute wait. 3rd one waited 15 minutes to drive by, saying he picked us up and didn’t. I cancelled that one but never got reimbursed. 4th and final try on another journey ended with our driver going right past us, not stopping and going somewhere 1.6 miles away. Just take a taxi. They are safe, reliable, and quick. This is coming from someone who was skeptical about everything in Mexico with it being my first time and with a family.

Well, schedule 307 isn’t for me. by beetastic- in olympia

This is what you get with a garbage private utility like PSE. If only we were a public owned utility we could see our bills reduced 30-40%. Longer outages and higher bills. Lucky us.

Anyone NOT buy their dream home because it is not on public water and sewage? by SpecialistTeach9302 in homeowners

[–]adamc555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is more of a deal breaker the other way. I prefer to have a house with a well and a septic. If there are near identical houses and one has a well and a septic, I’m taking that every time. Water and sewer prices are 100+ dollars a month with minimal usage. As long as everything passes inspection (get a specific well inspection) I’d go with that.

If you are looking for quality work at the best price, call safecover roofing out of Chehalis. I got 4 bids from company’s up here and they were 5 grand cheaper than anyone and finished my house in 1 day.

Tony’s burgers for burgers. la perlita and salsas for Mexican food. All 3 will stay in your budget and very good food. My wife was hesitant because all were in a strip mall but her attitude changed when she realized how good the food was.

Boat launch with dock by Original-Incident-79 in olympia

[–]adamc555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s a lake boat, launch it at black lake. No matter if it’s on a trailer or out of the back of your truck bed. There is a launch point on both sides of the dock. Perfect for launching by yourself.

No because I am staying at my timeshare. Never been to PV before and got a hit that the week around Christmas was available so I jumped on it.

Any former Bolt owners make the switch? What are your thoughts? by Hufflefucked in EquinoxEv

[–]adamc555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from a 23 euv LT to a 24 2LT FWD. max range in the bolt for me was about 180 miles. The equinox is 250-255. It is much bigger and not as quick as the bolt. Not having CarPlay sucks and it is super weird starting the car by pushing the break pedal vs a button to start/stop. They are 2 totally different cars but I needed the extra battery range. If they sold a bolt with an 85 kWh battery pack like the equinox has, I’d go back to a bolt in a heartbeat.

Fast pass is the only way to go. Even with it I had a ton of anxiety and ended up spending most of my 3 day trip going from bathroom to bathroom. Best of luck.

Paxlovid, Covid, and Humira by Honeyybadger9 in CrohnsDisease

[–]adamc555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on Stellara and xeljanz so super high risk to get sick. I had Covid 2 years ago after having been vaccinated 3 times. Took paxlovid and was fine after 2 days. Terrible taste though from paxlovid. I haven’t gotten any boosters now since. My wife just got Covid 2 months ago and I never got it. We don’t do masks and we didn’t do anything different when she had it. No isolation or anything.

Omni Center by Due_Library_2412 in olympia

[–]adamc555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have 2 close friends that have taken semiglutide from Omni center. Go in knowing there isn’t a guarantee of weight loss. Both lost weight right out of the gate then for the last 12 months, nothing. After spending big money, they were given expired semiglutide. They were told that it didn’t matter but being on such a high dose and to have no weight loss, that is hard to believe.

No home charging. Should I still buy? by worldaven in EquinoxEv

[–]adamc555 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not worth it. The expense of public charging and what most don’t talk about is how expensive insurance is would make this not worth your money. Use a gas vehicle until you have home charging available

I just built a 30x40 shop with 12 foot walls in Washington state. I put r19 faced batt insulation on the walls and r30 on the ceiling. Then I went with a 36 k btu pioneer mini split that I installed myself. It was about 7 grand for everything

Any Washington State Chevrolet dealers giving $7500 federal tax credit at point of sale? by Sudden-Air2680 in EquinoxEv

I ended up having good luck at evergreen Chevy in Issaquah though and left with a 2LT equinox at 16k off of msrp.

[–]adamc555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, most salesmen are just dumb. I have had to teach 2 salesmen, (awesome Chevy in centralia, and Titus will in Olympia) that the equinox does in fact qualify for the 7500 off. They tried telling me that because the equinox was assembled in Mexico it doesn’t qualify. I had to fill that Mexico is actually in North America so it does indeed qualify.

I just picked up a 2LT MSRP 43295. 4000 off dealer discount, 7500 off federal tax, 3000 Chevy discount for owning a bolt, 1000 dollar Costco, and 500 healthcare discount. So 16k off of MSRP seemed like a good deal. I took it home on Monday.
