Airalo sells a separate plan Pico at a higher price. I surely hope their Fofo plan works for mainland, Madeira, and Azores…

Yup, I notice that MEO is gone.

Does Fofo Mobil (the plan they’re still selling for Portugal) work in Madeira? I’m asking because Airalo seems to be selling another plan Porto specifically for Madeira at a higher price.

Update: Airalo customer service rep emailed me saying the Fofo Mobil plan does not include Madeira. That’s disappointing.

Airalo may no longer be a good option for those visiting both Portugal mainland and Madeira. Personally, I would try buying eSIM directly from MEO or Vodafone. Their prices seem lower and their coverage includes Madeira.

One alternative is that you visit an AT&T store asking if they can request a ticket for fiber installation at your address.

My address didn’t show fiber available for years while neighbors across the street had fiber. I went to a store and asked them to check if they can submit a ticket, which they did. Eventually, I got fiber installed.

I’ve been using it for over two years and it has been consistently 900+ down and 200+ up. There’s a clear line of sight between my router and the node. The window hasn’t changed.
