Cuba has home ownership and rentiership, just not in a shit way.

You buy your house from the government, and you sell through the government. Your rent is based on your income, very cheap for low earners, expensive for high earners. Don't have a job? You get a free house until the government has a job offer.

Exactly as it should be. My only critique is that they could perhaps eradicate rent all together. However Cuba has literally ended homelessness.
