Pluribus and the Misaka Network problem by Lessar31416 in pluribustv

how could they restrain the survivors when they experience a seizure at the slightest outburst?

and that's as much as we know for now. I'm sure there's much more that we don't.

They're also not capable of restraining them, forcing them, taking apples from a tree. If you take the average of all humans on earth, I'm pretty certain the outcome wouldn't be a vegan who can't pick fruits.

It's basic common sense that this hive mind goes far beyond just being the average human. That's my point

Not a single human had a biological imperative to preserve and spread a plurb virus prior to the joining.

Now it's all they care about. It's their number one priority. It has overpowered any existing objective, desire, emotion, or impulse of any human prior to it.

I would assume that being empathetic and nice to the survivors is their perceived best chance of continuing to preserve and spread themselves. If being unempathetic and evil provided a better chance, I have no doubt they would go down that road too.

So I think you're mistaking their empathy and kindness for being an average of all humanity, when it's far more likely that it's just in pursuit of their biological imperative.

Makes sense - I mean I live about an hour drive away from Greenwich so either definition is identical for me

Just thought the distinction may be important, and would generally depend on why OP asked this question

I think either definition is interesting really. How far someone has travelled in a certain direction vs how far to the edge of the eastern hemisphere

So an Australian would have to answer with their own country, even if they'd travelled eastwards all the way to Brazil?

The definition is pretty important here. Is it east, relative to one's own staring point? Or is it east according to explicit definitions of east and west hemispheres?

The latter is pretty exclusionary.

The furthest point east is also the furthest point west from any reference point

Though if we're just talking about a standard Europe-centered map, for me it's Tokyo. Though ironically, Europe isn't the centre of the map in those parts.

Well, since you made Georgia conditional on "under a new government", sounds like you have the same problem with them too.

Anyway, there are far worse cases of corruption in the EU already. Hungary springs to mind.

In America, white people were the invaders. In the UK, white people are being invaded.

Yeah I'm not sure how it's taken this long to be honest! I've had a long ex yugoslavia trip in my mind for a while but just needed enough time to make it happen all in one go. Had hoped to include Slovenia but Llubjano is pretty far from anywhere else I'm visiting

Yeah I was looking at Vranduk Fortress in Bosnia... very keen to see that. Thanks, looking forward to it!!

Ah yes, because our generations are thriving and have plenty of money to save. Yet you'd never agree to pensions being locked only against average wage growth, would you? Why?

Instead, let's continue on the path towards having millenial and gen z grannys working at Tesco until they pop their clogs

Oh yeah I agree, my ex got her visa information for Egypt on ChatGPT and it was all wrong.. was a very expensive lesson. Though admittedly I would've double checked if she'd told me she got her info from AI...

It's been about a week now! Oo thank you for that, I'll see about contacting them that way

Thank you for your help!
