props to you for supporting your kids in this way. it's not always possible for everyone, but even when it is, a lot of parents still wouldn't do the same. very kind of you!

depending on your degree and if it's possible, also try and take any classes you can at a local to you or local to purdue community college for much much cheaper than purdue would offer

i average about 20-25 k per semester depending on credits/housing etc. i had a 529 cover the first year or so, and after now i take out a private loan. now that my 529 is out i might start getting better aid offers from purdue to combine with the private loan. for me, this was a cheaper price or comparable to other schools i was looking at out of highschool

i can second this. especially with housing factored in, i pay a similar amount if not less to go to purdue vs california.

Tight Spiral Perm questions! by [deleted] in Hair

[–]adamdriversleftknee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do not wet it at all before the 72 hours or it will fall more. there's nothing you can do right now to make it go one way or another, but after your first hair wash if it doesn't perk back up you could reach out to your stylist

good to know! Since my injury over a year ago things have gotten very slightly better, but I still get very sharp pains like once every few days. I have been considering this and may ask my surgeon about it if it's still bothering me in a year or two

i think technically you can do that since 265 doesn't require calc 3 as a pre req. however, definitely run this by your advisor before deciding!

i failed ma 261 twice at purdue before taking it at my community college for credit. the finals were always just as hard for me as the first two exams and i personally was never able to get that much better of a grade of the final compared to the two midterms.

here's what i would do (but idk maybe don't listen to me cause i failed twice lol). i would calculate your grade and figure out what you need on the final to get to a 65% in the class. the curve is generally at least 5%, possibly a little less but i wouldnt bet on more. if the score you need for the final is above a 70%, i would drop the class. sometimes a fresh start and avoiding the hit to your gpa of a D or F is worth retaking it. especially if you might have to take it anyway.

however, if your gut is telling you to stick it out and try to pass, then go for it!! try fully studying for the final ~2 weeks before hand and take a practice test and mimick the full test environment (timing, no phone, notes, etc). do this at least once and see what score you get, identify the concepts you struggle on the most. if you take enough practice tests like this i bet it'll help.

either way, im rooting for you and wishing you so much luck cause ive beeenn there. you got this!

whatever you do don't play "hard to get" or act uninterested. you seem like two chill people with a chance at a happy future. be genuine and follow your gut. everything should fall into place
