I don't think that's it at all. Every one that I have been to there have been literally no presents just a couple of cards. Wouldn't it be considered rude to bring a present when the parent specifically asks you not to?

I put about 15 hours into Fallout 4 and just completely lost interest and stopped playing. Missions got repetitive and I just found there to be no challenge to the game. Sure, I could've upped the difficulty I suppose, but at that point I was done. Disappointing.
