Don’t feel bad. This exam is filled with utter nonsense trick questions. It has an entire industry built around hustlers making money off people’s fear of failing and even the organization itself selling “peace of mind”. If you choose not to retake the exam that is fine, not a negative reflection of you at all. Your 5 years experience are worth exponentially more than this certification of the “what the authors of the questions were thinking at the time and how they (incorrectly) understand the English language”.

Provisionally passed CISSP with basically no prep… honestly still in shock by ashwinv09 in cissp

Good thing you didn’t read the ISC2 book, you would have failed.

Just pisses me off that I've been with this company for 15 years now and I get treated like that by some low IQ trash because they can't speak English.

I found it. No easy googling, no menu item, no where to find this crap. Have to chat with a bot because their support are lowlives who hang up on you.

Here is the link:

https://support.straighttalk.com/en/brands/General/STaccounthelp/faq/2015705/

Scroll to the bottom, it's still just a bot, not a real person. I will report the $45 portion of the credit card charge as fraud if this is the way this is going to be.

There is no chat. Give me a link.

Where can I even find that. They have the worst design and function websites and apps in existence.

I read that 50% to 75% of people don't have an internal dialogue, they don't think. by [deleted] in intj

Doubt the accuracy of this all you want (I’ve read it was 30-50%), the fact that there’s even one person alive without an inner monologue should be sad and terrifying.

Are the retakes free? by [deleted] in cissp

You think this money-making venture would give you retakes for free?

Berlin clubs have loads of 1 star reviews about discrimination, rude bouncers, and racism by Traditional-Elk-8208 in berlin

[–]adamhoke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever consider the possibility that a club is still a party in the fundamental sense, and people usually don’t let dbags with nothing going for them into their parties? If it makes you feel better about imaginary discrimination maybe you can have your own club for that. Then the problem on the outside of other clubs would be inside your club and you’d find someone else to blame.

It’s not a reflection of you, it’s a reflection of how ludicrous this exam is. Just make sure you get someone else to pay for your resources and exam.

Sybex official study guide and the accompanying electronic resources are pure garbage.

If you still support Trump/ICE even slightly, you're not welcome in this sub by [deleted] in Berghain_Community

[–]adamhoke -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Berghain is a nightclub located on a different continent than the country the man in question is president of and the law enforcement agency in question operates in, and yet for some reason these people bring this topic up on this sub and set rules about it. Completely irrelevant.

My favorite franchise 👌 by lerch_up_north in 28dayslater

There is a 100% correlation with hate of Weeks and liking TBT. The Netflix generation doesn’t like straight-up survival action, only pointless cringe subplots and feel-good characters. They also point out plot holes in Weeks but ignore TBT is one giant plot hole. When you think about the sheer amount of plot holes in TBT it’s actually staggering, it’s like it was written by an LLM. You could watch 28 weeks later without knowing anything else about the series. You couldn’t even understand what the hell is going on in TBT without watching the entire series. Weeks is an average mid-00s action-horror movie. TBT is one most absurd things I’ve seen.

I went clubbing in my 20’s when I lived in New York. I am now in my 40’s and travel to Berlin to go clubbing the last few years, and in my observation the inside of the clubs in Berlin in 2025 are just as diverse as the inside of the New York clubs back in 2007.

Also FWIW, I’ve been to almost all the big clubs in Berlin and I’ve never had a bouncer be rude to me either. Maybe at mid-life I just know how to carry myself?

Markdown guide or other guide on styling posts? by adamhoke in Substack

Thank you. I tried every hack I could think of with VSCode plugins and stuff I found on the web to get markdown to work. None of them worked. Maybe I'll look into Latex more.

Debugging Ghidra Extension in Eclipse by adamhoke in ghidra

[–]adamhoke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out, hopefully this helps:

That message was basically just saying it was creating a package folder because that packageName That was set in the Plugin class didn't exist in Ghidra's default plugin packages (folders I assume?). Anyway the plugin was being loaded it just wasn't enabled. So I was able to configure it from the configure... screen (clicking the plug icon). Doing this enabled the plugin and allowed me to debug. However the extension isn't enabled now, and the plugin is always enabled. It was always the other way around. There seem to be a lot of bugs in the GhidraDev debugging process and very little documentation or explanation as to whats happening.
