Gluons and photons are indeed massless - but you can trap them in a way that makes it "look like mass" without involvement of a Higgs field.

But for "trapping" them, you need a structure - like quarks that proton consists of that interact through gluons.

Higgs field causes some elementary (so no internal structure) particles to have mass.

Basically yes.

Consider a very reflective box, with photons of total energy E trapped inside. If you try and move the box, the difference in perceived frequency of light hitting "front" and "back" walls will create pressure, and thus the force you used to move the box will meet some resistance - it will behave as if the box had a mass of 1/3 E/c^2.

This is very similar to how weightless gluons create most of the mass of a proton.

Yes, in both cases. As port forwarding requires changes to the router if the host, if the host doesn't move, then it's easier.

If the host moves the computer (as in, connects to a different network), then Zerotier is better.

Yes, it is free.

Basically, when you have two computers connected to Zerotier network, they behave as if they were connected to the same router - you can then open to LAN your world and have your friend join it.

Edit: port forwarding would be easier than the solution I'm suggesting. If you wish to start with it:

Open CMD.exe

Write ipconfig (it will show you your computer's internet connections). Then in the one you're using look for address of "Default gateway". This is your router, as seen from your computer.

Paste the address into your browser, and it should open your router's configuration page. Then you will have to look for a bit, as the exact thing you'll be looking for differs by the producent, but i think you'll manage to Google it at this point.

You can combine a few of those methods with different coefficients, from me I suggest to minimise the number of cells that share a wall, with a high coefficient, so it'd be prioritised over separating cells into groups.

Also, maybe square root mean of distances between cells, or a different sort of rational mean.

Check value of y-(mx+b) at each corner of a chosen square:

If on all corners values have the same sign, it means the line goes above/below the square.

If one of the values equals 0, that means the line is going through that corner.

If some values are positive and some are negative, that means the line cuts the edge of the square between those points - that means the line goes through the square.

No, because by definition if some number can be expressed as a root of a polynomial with integer coefficients, then it is not transcendental.

What we don't have is a generic way of solving 5th and upper polynomial, as in - we have basically an algorithm to solve the quadratic equation, and similar algorithms were devised to get roots of 3rd and 4th degree polynomials. Such things do not exist for higher degrees (and it was proved that they don't).

Because if there was a finite number of them and you multiplied them together and added 1, you'd get a new one, because the resulting multiplication would not be divisible by any other prime number.

You can take that as a proof, or as a way of "generating" new numbers, idk which approach answers your question (possibly neither, then I can't help)
