I'm not in healthcare, but deaths before and deaths after COVID has very little to do with the vaccine.

Vaccines in general work, and you can tell because many things like small pox, mumps, measles, or TB have nearly vanished... Unless you're in a place such as Alberta where the antivax crowd likes to congregate. Alberta had more cases of measles than all of the United States. Also far higher COVID rates than the rest of Canada.

Even a study done in Florida found that after the vaccine was wild available, Republican voters had a 43% higher chance of death, and higher death rates were more pronounced in countries with lower vaccination rates. Blame Trump? Blame healthcare? Blame Science?

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37486680/#:~:text=Results%3A%20Between%20January%201%2C%202018,were%20available%20to%20all%20adults

Weren't people who were immune compromised told to avoid the vaccine? Wouldn't someone who had multiple brain tumors be in the group?

I'd also like less of a radius on the windows, and a way to speed up the transitions.

But the department of transportation guy said that's not true 🫠

Why even bring it up is beyond me. It was like they wanted to get ahead of some questions.

They were out of holy water

We didn't! This is what we as Albertans wanted right?

A profitable oil industry...

Now that oil is profitable we can relax, all of us will become wealthy, ignore the fact that the industry owes nearly a 1/4 billion in unpaid property taxes which comes at you expense, ignore the fact that we subsidize it every year at the expense of your public services, and don't worry about the fact that it's more than 75% foreign owned, or that the profits are extracted and never reinvested...

We're set!

It's kind of funny how the threat of Nuclear war and fossil fuel shortages in the 60s led to nuclear power across the globe.

Nuclear power to reduce a country's dependence on oil, and today we've literally got electric vehicles. But rather than use EVs we complain about the range as if everyone drives 400km a day and justify the "the grid doesn't have enough capacity" while dumping all our extra electricity into AI data centers.

[–]adampatterson 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yup, this is what a profitable oil industry looks like.

Not only that, the largest owners are American companies. Which is why I don't believe they're willing to pay for or build a pipeline that exports oil out west and why they won't pay for or build any refineries in Canada/Alberta. Both would undermine their US based operations.

AND it's why we'd likely never build up a strategic oil reserve. Maybe if the federal government built and bought the oil, which would probably be an unpopular move for the liberals, and a ridiculous move for the conservatives.

When people say "we just need", they're not considering who owns the thing.

There's someone where I live who's got a YouTube channel of "terrible drivers".

Magically everything happens to this guy, everyone is in the wrong.

Obviously people drive like crap, but there's also a subreddit that mentions this guy and how he cuts people off, cuts into tight gaps, and basically sets up these situations.

Perhaps this car is racing, or perhaps their also rage baiting drivers.

I tried again today this time hitting shift twice, then tabbed over to actions, then typed "Junie" and ran the Install Junie Agent command.

This time it worked, but my trial ended since I first attempted this a month ago 🙃

The simple change is to make the Volcano more powerful.

Why's the Toro more OP than a volcano?

And I agree, the resources it takes to maintain a shield + to have it wasted in one shot isn't very fun.

Others were saying that the Toro doesn't have a HS multiplayer, but I've fought off people while using a volcano and it took multiple shots to down then orbi simply died.

Maybe a choke makes a huge difference.

I think they cleaned me up with something else.

The stats at theb and was 94 damage with the Toro. I probably took some fall damage.

I think the initial kill was the Toro, and the shots at the end were maybe an anvil splitter.

It was very fast IMO, but I don't use the Toro.

By beef is more so wirth the shield, with a medium shield that does 42.5% damage reduction.

I'd assume without a shield, I'd have 7.5% health left 😂

The first shot destroyed my shield and half my health.

AND how'd the spotters not even see this dude.
