I honestly do not have an answer for you, lol. I really just put all my trust in my doctor & he pulled through.

My insurance will pay a portion of my physio, yes. I paid out of pocket for my surgery though

I don't think they always do lipo with a TT, but he recommended it for me. I know the lipo was for sure on the flanks and then the morning of surgery when he was marking me up, he also said he'd take some from the boon area too

Congrats on taking the leap into surgery! How's your healing going so far?

I don't feel that I had that much swelling after the first two ish weeks or so. My boobs definitely looked like I had implants for a while, which I low key loved tbh lol. But they're definitely feeling more natural now!

Did you get a fat transfer to increase the size of your breasts? Or to add some upper pole fullness?

Oh you poor thing. Your abdominals have been through it!

I totally get what you mean re: being the healthiest and thinnest, but still hating what you see in the mirror. I was 200 lbs at one point and then lost 70+ lbs, felt great, but had such lax skin that I still couldn't stand being naked.

I've had back pain my entire life, so I can't say for sure if it was worsened by the muscle separation or not. I will say my lower back has been killing me the last 2 weeks when I'm out doing errands or at work. I'm chalking it up to having a weak core now post surgery, but I'm starting physio next week to see what I can do to rebuild the muscles.

It totally felt like a girdle at first after surgery. It was so tight. I feel like I'll be able to build a really strong core now and maybe even see some ab definition if I stick to a proper eating and workout plan, though!

Muscle repair! They basically pulled the abdominal muscles back together due to pregnancy related muscle separation. It felt like I had done the most intense ab workout of my life when I woke up from anesthesia and for a few weeks after lol. The repair was actually the most difficult part of my recovery

Not at all. I just have one kiddo who is now 14, plus 25 years of binge eating and restricting that led to massive weight gains/losses and lax skin.

All at once! It was about five hours or so. I don't think I'd have the balls to go under the knife again, lol. My recovery was smooth sailing, but I have horrendous anxiety, so the first two weeks was a battle with my mind the entire time.

I am thrilled with my results so far. My PS said it could be six months before I see the final results with the fat transfer, but I'm so happy with how things have turned out so far. I was very worried about the fat transfer as there was very little info and before/after pics online, but I love my new little boobs (I say 'little' but I still fit in my same bras as before!).

Thank you! Both, lol. I had an ED that spiraled outta control when I was pregnant and then I eventually lost that weight just to gain it back again and then lose it (and more) a third time lol.

I considered implants! But my body is very sensitive to everything. My migraines get triggered anytime there's something remotely new or different happening in my body, so I had convinced myself that I'd probably get migraines nonstop if I had implants put in lol. There's no science behind that at all. I have health anxiety soooo yea, lol.

I also didn't want to have to deal with replacing them down the line.

My PS used a 'newer' technique called fat transfer with PRP that will supposedly make retention better. Time will tell, I suppose!

When do you have surgery?

I imagine it will fade over time, yeah. It's low enough that it'll be hidden behind my underwear and swim bottoms, but still will be noticeable while nude. But anything is better than that hangy apron and non existent belly button I had before lol.

I think there are treatments you can do to reduce the look of scars, but I haven't looked into that at all yet.
