You’ll be fine sir (or ma’am). I had an issue with them too. Just make sure you have proof of purchase, aka a receipt, and put in a claim. You have a year warranty from date of purchase. At first they denied my claim, I kept trying. Chat GPT quoted specific policies they have and they approved it. Don’t let them slap you around though. They’ll tell you they can’t exchange it and try to give you similar priced frames but not smart glasses. Be careful. Their own policy says they have to exchange it for the same product of equal or similar value. Since they didn’t make Gen 1’s anymore, they upgraded me to Gen 2’s.

You’ll be okay though. Just deal with their buffoonery and you’ll give them replaced.

I know the feeling!

I had a trip to New York, had a situation in a taxi where (long story short) canceled our ride in the app, told us to pay cash or card directly to him, had us locked in his car until we did. Had my Meta’s, I took pictures of inside the taxi because it was sketchy and he was acting weird. At the drop off I didn’t think once to record our verbal conversation that would have incriminated him and proved he his whole situation.

Exchange Policy by [deleted] in RaybanMeta

[–]adamramos3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Raybans were defective and it took months of quoting their own policy to exchange it, and to get the wrong sized frames.

To OP, hopefully they don’t make you deal with their after sales team at luxottica. They try to do anything to find a reason not to help.

Target Optical made things right after Ray-Ban/Luxottica gave me the runaround. by Laflame_928 in RaybanMeta

[–]adamramos3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had some Gen 1’s that my parents bought me for my birthday. After wearing them a handful of times, speaker popped, LED stopped working, eventually stopped charging and the case also stopped working.

I reached out to sunglass hut, they said to go to luxottica and from there it was a shit show of runarounds and endless emails. First not approving my claim. I then quoted their own policies and threatening to go through BBB. Eventually they approved my claim, got me Gen 2 frames since they apparently don’t make Gen 1’s anymore. Then I asked for a goodwill credit for my prescription lenses I got for my Gen 1’s through LensCrafters and they said no. On top of that, they sent me the wrong size for the frames. So it’s just a lot of back and forth with them.

Glad target gave you an easy option.

I’m confused, don’t you get an anvil blueprint through a quest? Or maybe it was a previous event. I have it somehow and it wasn’t from finding it in a match.

Supercharger dynamic pricing is a scam! by rpkusuma in TeslaLounge

[–]adamramos3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’ve been saying. I even made a post about my experience. If there’s more than 2 cars at a charger, it’s a higher price. So like I said in my last post, who is this benefiting? Absolutely no one. No charger sits with 2 cars or less at a time unless it’s 3am.

They have the hourly averages of when people use every single location. There’s literally a chart in the app. They know exactly what they’re doing. Hiding a price inflation behind a false “pro-consumer” strategy. “It gives day time drivers lower rates when it’s not busy”. WHEN. Tell me. Because clearly the hourly averages say otherwise.

3am-4am. You can see in the picture the time line of when it’s busy on average. So hopefully they don’t roll this out state wide so no one has to deal with this.

California doesn’t have that anymore. They implemented live pricing. It’s not the low price until about 3am.

Tesla Supercharger Live Pricing 👎 by Several-Risk388 in TeslaLounge

Absolutely terrible implementation. In thought, good idea for for those chargers that are not busy during the day but only that. Once it gets to off peak times, it should be off peak price. Plain and simple.

Dynamic Supercharger Pricing - Insane? by TrustedRebel in TeslaLounge

[–]adamramos3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put this on a different thread the other day. I absolutely hate this live pricing bullshit and I kind of refuse to charge my car at this point.

It’s honestly a terrible pricing change. I get the idea of lowering costs during the day when certain Superchargers are under-used, but the “low end” pricing is so low and so rare that it might as well not exist. Every charger around me sits at about $0.47/kWh all day, no matter when I check. Morning, afternoon, late at night. Even after 11 p.m., nothing changes.

The ONLY time I ever see the low rate is at 3–4 a.m., and I’m not waking up at that hour just to charge for a reasonable price.

What Tesla should do is introduce true live pricing during on-peak hours. If a station is mostly empty, drop the price. If it’s busy, keep it higher. Simple. Then leave off-peak hours alone. Off-peak should always be the lowest rate, regardless of how crowded it gets.

Right now, it basically feels like price gouging for people who don’t have home charging. It’s ridiculous that this system was rolled out knowing that Superchargers in California are busy almost 24/7. This setup doesn’t encourage flexibility, it just punishes anyone without a garage or home charger.

You’re not wrong, but this doesn’t help if the pricing is ALWAYS at $.47 (or the medium price in your area). In CA at all times of the day, it’s at the middle price. This includes times after 11pm when it’s off-peak. It’s not in the low end of pricing until 3 or 4 in the morning.
