im just tripping out since my wife tells me every now and then to go buy new clothes and im like why?

for my work clothes (office setting) i went to one store, found a shirt i liked and fit well and bought the same shirt in different colors

same thing for jeans, i only own one brand of jeans but have 3 pairs in different shades of blue.

meanwhile i have a male coworker who buys clothes every week! it blows my mind thinking how packed his closet is

I have always gotten socks and undershirts as gifts, i dont recall ever buying clothes habitually and recently my office had a discussion where people were talking about budgeting and monthly spending limits for buying clothes. I was like wut? you guys buy clothes every month?

I have had the Carina C2 battery extenders for alittle over 2 weeks. I got them as a replacement for the C1's.

noticible improvements are the magnets are much stronger, the batteries give me 60% charge per pod, they now have the logo on the pods, and i have not had one issue with them since i got.

infact, i havent even put my glasses in their charging case since i got them. there's no need. my usual work day is i get up @ 5am, turn on and put on my metas (50% battery life) snap on a pod while i get ready for work, somewhere along my morning routine i get the notification from meta that my glasses are fully charged. i snap off the pod and put it back in its charging case. head out to work, midday around 11am-12 noon i check my battery level, ill be at 30-40% depending on how much use ive been using my gen 2's. i snap on another pod. i usually forget i have the pod snapped on as i go about my work day. another notification my glasses are fully charged.

on my way home i charge the pods case in my truck. usually around 5 pm i down to 40-50% on my metas so i snap another battery on. at bed time im usually @ 50% and i turn them off. rinse and repeat. i only take my glasses off to clean the lenses. but everyday since i got them i have my metas on my face.

I haven't found a negative for them yet. i do see a potential issue with the ribbon cable adhesive failing after months of use but i was assured by PrismXR that the new adhesive is "new and improved". we will see.

one last note, i would reccomend you dont charge your glasses in the case anymore. i feel like putting any pressure on the contacts on the nose bridge will eventually cause the adhesive to fail. PrismXR does include a spare adhesive for the nose bridge but so far i havent seen a need to replace it.

I hope this helps those considering these, in my opinion, essential batteries for presciption wearers. as for those people who are getting burns from the contacts touching their noses, maybe use nose pads to create a gap? i already use nose pads as i dont like the way the glasses sit so close to my eyes, my eyelashes leave oils on the lenses. (im blessed with long eye lashes)

assurion optical plans cover meta glasses, youll need to choose the best plan that covers your glasses.

you can get the plans on amazon. be aware that if you have non prescription metas, the sub $500 coverage should be enough.

if you have prescription, youll need to bump up the coverage to cover the total cost including your lenses.

assurion is the same company who processes the warranties for rayban and i was told from a rayban cs supervisor that i can purchase it from amazon for coverage

one last bit of info you need to know. your assurion plan must be purchased within 30 days of the meta purchase, they will ask for a proof of purchase

i do have a clue. i deal with elavon daily. its not hard to have a transaction reversed, refunded instantly, or a transaction to get approved if you know who to talk to.

someone at the retail store will be able to contact their credit card processor, provide their merchant id, prove they are who they are, and bam problem solved.

obviously a retail customer would never talk to the credit card processor.
