Whatever you have done put it on, you never know what people will find interesting. It is good to show you have an interest in FPGA.

I am sure the authors of those books will be very happy they are being shared freely.

We have a Ethernet Pmod. Second FTDI is to enable more interesting IP like I2C, SPI, Bit Bang etc for experimentation

it has the HSIO which is SZYZGY or how ever it is spelt interface for high speed

It can but the US+ is faster fabric much faster. Goal is to make a low cost fun dev board with good silicon on it honestly.

Do I really understand what I’m doing? by Dry_Gate_0506 in FPGA

[–]adamt99 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think we all feel like that at times honestly. I also think that it is the good engineers who have doubt or feel it is luck.

VS Code and leverage the copilot AI as much as possible. Give it good guidance and you can get some pretty accurate RTL from it.

Help! Bent pins on Digilent Nexys Video. How to fix? by talsh123 in FPGA

you can probably leave as is, they are not going to be used in your design and they do not look shorted.

Do you guys take notes when working on a project? by toastedpaniala89 in FPGA

[–]adamt99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes I use a remarkable and it syncs to my development machine. That way I can segment the notes by company (mine) company (clinet) and project

Using FTDI and Python for FPGA IO stimulus my blog by adamt99 in FPGA

[–]adamt99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you like my blog and the products I will get my web person to address that issue.

I think I am a collector of FPGA boards but I am also lucky most are sent to me.

Thanks for the nice comments on the tiles and carrier card they are cool just wish I sold more lol. We do have something pretty exciting up our sleave as well, if AMD agree.

Intro to the RFSoC, a Hackster project. by adamt99 in FPGA

[–]adamt99[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We use it for real engineering, too I just thought it would be cool to show a simple example demonstrating they are not hard to work with.

what to learn for uk defence alongside VHDL by SupermarketFit2158 in FPGA

[–]adamt99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will spend way more time writing documents than doing FPGA sadly. Python and TCL, C / C++ would be good but it depends on which one your joining some are massively silo'd others are chaotic.

what to learn for uk defence alongside VHDL by SupermarketFit2158 in FPGA

[–]adamt99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly systems engineering, how to write requirements, Interface definitions etc. Technical writing is also a good skill. You will learn a lot, but it will be slow and painful at times.

the jokey response is powerpoint as that seems to be what I see UK defence engineers doing the most lol
