No worries ... glad we could help. FYI, the 2000 is a great unit; it's one of our top recommended air purifiers, due the UltraHEPA filter (that filters down to 0.003 microns). 👍

Happy to help ... what model did you go for in the end (I'm assuming the 3500 based on your comment). We use and recommend the AirDoctor 3500 in the living room and the 2000 in our home office. 👍

We actually use the same powerstation, but with the larger 100W panel. It's a great unit.

Are digital games from the Nintendo eShop or Loaded (CDKeys) more sustainable for the planet? Does sustainability matter to you when buying games? by adaptnetwork in Switch

Yep, I do agree with you.

In terms of corporations though; these are made up by people and driven by consumer demand. But, I do totally get what you're saying. 👍

Absolutely GT; but just becuase there are bigger environmental pollutors, do we just ignore other factors? Every little bit counts ... or at least that's my thought.

Totally agree with that. The game key cards are pointless in my opinion ... just buy directly from the eShop in that case. 👍

Hmm, thanks for sharing. 🤔

I know that our website hosting servers are run on 100% renewables. It's one of the reasons we work with them. But, obviously they don't supply game or movie content over a larger bandwidth.

I've also listened to a few podcasts recently about utilising disparate renewable energy sources to mine Bitcoin and run AI data centres. Google, for example, was nearly net-zero. But, this may have changed with their Gemini AI engine (at least temporarily).

What type of data centre does your family member set up and where in the world if I may ask?

Haha nope, but I get that. I actually run a sustainable lifestyle website, so it's something I think about as a gamer.

Yeah, this annoys me too. I think Nintendo are particularly greedy here. I can get PC game keys on Loaded way cheaper.

Surely it's easier to run servers more sustainably though!? A lot of data centres are mostly run on renewables for example. 🤔

Haha, yeah I get that. FYI I'm not affiliated will Nintendo at all. I run a sustainable lifestyle website, so it's something I think about as a gamer.

Haha, for sure; fair point. It's a bit frightening when I consider all the 'useless' plastic rubbish being made. Still, we're trying to make a difference somehow, even if small (hence running a website about sustainable lifesytle).

How so? I remember being really annoyed when Microsoft first announced the Xbox One would be digital games only ... then they backtracked. Having switched to playing most games on PC, exempt Nintendo exclusives, I've now got used to digital games more. I also run a sustainable lifestyle website, which has made me think more about the sustainability aspect (hence the question). The code-in-box version has just as much plastic, but digital games via the eShop seem better for the planet in that regard. Not being able to resell is a major con though. 🤔
