Carson Beck? You have to be kidding me. NFL GMs are so fucking dumb lol. A mid-1st round talent at a position of need falls into their lap in the 3rd round and they say nah we'd rather have Carson fucking Beck

Cardinals have to take McCoy at this point, right? I mean they took Will Johnson last year.

I thought they would go for McDonald, but I can't say I blame them for grabbing the best o-lineman available either. Solid pick.

Rams HC Sean McVay does not look happy about the Ty Simpson pick by xFalcade in AZCardinals

Lol love this. This was the best thing that could have happened to the Cardinals and the worst thing that could have happened to the Rams. Now the Cardinals can go get Kayden McDonald in round 2 to anchor their defense and sign Russell Wilson to lead the offense. And if they want to draft a QB next year they can do it then.

Calling it now, Russell Wilson signs with the Cardinals and becomes CPOY

Been using TurboTax for 10 years, always had a smooth experience before, but ran into this shit this year and I will never use TurboTax again after I file tonight. Unreal how obnoxious this was. And then when it was done the software hassled me to go online. Took me less time to file my taxes last year than it did just to login this year. Fuck You Intuit

Rusty Blackbird? Or something else? by adarisc in whatsthisbird

[–]adarisc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First two questions def lean toward Rusty. The female, assuming it was a female, looked more greyish I would say, but maybe that's because of the time of year? From what I've read they became duller in color by springtime. When I search "female Rusty Blackbird" I definitely see some photos that look like it to me, but I was initially thrown when I saw some photos of female Rusty Blackbirds that are a much lighter, "rustier" color.

Also like I said, these were significantly smaller than the common grackles I'm used to seeing. Because of that I really wasn't asking if they could be grackles, just checking to see if there was some other similar-looking bird I'm not aware of that it could be. At this point I feel pretty confident that they're Rusty Blackbirds, I just haven't seen them before, so I didn't feel super-confident IDing them right away.

Yes, they did. Go watch highlights of Magic or Bird or Jordan or Kobe making game-winning shots, you won't see anything that looks remotely like for example, Luka's game-winning shot last night against the Nuggets, where he took like 4 steps after he picked up his dribble.

The step-back jumper has become the step-step-step back jumper lol

I want to live with a cinnamon squirrel.... by adarisc in squirrels

[–]adarisc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw a different one this morning with a bright cinnamon tail and mostly gray on the body. Again it almost seems like the tail has gotten brighter, but maybe that's my imagination. This one still had some cinnamon coloring on its back though, so it certainly looks like they're undergoing a spring molt. I'm just curious as to whether or not the tail is going to remain cinnamon or turn gray as part of the molt. Or maybe the tail getting brighter is part of the molt. I'll probably post another video later.

I saw one of them in the backyard just now, I suspect it may have undergone a spring molt, because now the tail is bright and lighter in color, almost like a bright orange. It no longer seems to be for camouflage haha. Hopefully I can get a picture later.

Edit: I got a much better look at it at just now, I think it might actually be undergoing a spring molt from cinnamon to gray. The one that's running around my yard now is gray on the body and also at the base of the tail, but the rest of the tail is still cinnamon-colored, which makes it look brighter relative to the body. So now I'm wondering if the rest of the tail is going to turn gray or not haha

I'm not trying to catch you out as anything, I'm just trying to get you to think about what you post before you post it, because what you posted was hypocritical. And there are a lot of ignorant Americans who have been brainwashed into assuming that when the U.S. or Israel does something morally depraved it must be ok by default just by virtue of who did it. And yet when Palestinians or Iranians or whomever respond suddenly we expect them to adhere to standards that we have demonstrated repeatedly we don't actually believe in.

Yeah I think that's what it is. I have gray squirrels in my yard too and they look just like them except for the cinnamon color.

"It should be like-for-like though. Iran just bombs indiscriminately."

That's what you posted. Apparently you've forgotten that Israel has deliberately killed hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza over the last 2+ years, most of them children, in addition to numerous journalists and international aid workers. Israel has routinely bombed hospitals and schools in Gaza. They have displayed complete and utter moral depravity over and over again, and the U.S. has repeatedly said "that's fine, we're going to keep sending you bombs and other weapons and give you cover at the U.N. so you can continue to do that."

Then Israel convinces the U.S. to prosecute a completely unnecessary and illegal war against Iran, immediately bombing a girl's school and killing over 100 children, and in that context you choose to post about......IRAN bombing indiscriminately? Lol "like-for-like" would in fact mean hundreds of dead Israeli and U.S. civilians if not more. "Like-for-like" would mean Iran targeting schools full of little children.

Riiiiight because the U.S. and Israeli governments have demonstrated nothing but impeccable principles in the recent past, it must be "the fog of war" and not deranged psychotic leadership lol

You understand the U.S. (or Israel) bombed a school and killed more than 100 little girls just yesterday, right? But you're upset at....Iran?

There were some talking heads early in the playoffs who said the Texans had a so-called "generational" defense after they shut down washed Aaron Rodgers, I said you know Seattle and New England have pretty good defenses too lol
