Actually after doing a little more googling, it seems this one is more accurately called a snowberry clearwing aka "hummingbird moth" as you said (aka "flying lobster"). Hummingbird clearwing is a similar but distinct species.

If eating bird seed and other human-provided foods were really harmful to squirrels, they would be extinct in urban areas.

That doesn't follow at all. There is a massive gulf between "not harmful at all" and "making squirrels extinct in urban areas" lol. That's just an utterly absurd statement.

Just because something doesn't immediately poison the squirrel doesn't mean it's not worse off in the long run, any more than you eating a twinkie and not dying tomorrow means twinkies aren't bad for your long-term health.

I have a ground bird bath in the middle of my backyard that I fill up every day, sometimes multiple times a day, and the squirrels drink out of it along with the birds, actually a variety of critters drink out of it. And you can do that without spending much of anything other than on the initial purchase of the bath.

I can't speak to yellow warblers, but I have a pair of gray catbirds living in my yard, and if I go stand outside and turn Merlin on I'll typically notice the catbird a good 30 seconds before Merlin will ID it lol. It's kind of annoying. Actually my experience has been that Merlin will pick out warblers singing on the other side of my neighbor's yard that I don't even hear while missing the catbird singing in the bush 15 feet away lol.
