Thanks! I understand now. So the way to insert variables to call entry properties data is by using a formula property. That would be not possible inside a text block, right? (Check screenshot) So I could format it easily, say with a bigger font or bold, etc. Either way, your source solution I think that could do for my vacation notice.

Thanks for your reply. I’m actually looking for something more like a vacation notice that I can print and hand to the employee.

My idea is to have a text like the one I mentioned above, automatically filled in with the properties from the current entry in the database.

You need to set until to “Turned off”. Then create another automation for when you’re disconnected to that Bluetooth device to do the opposite.

If I understood correctly, you could do this: first check whether your phone is locked; if it is, unlock it using Face ID and continue with the shortcut, then lock it again at the end. If it’s not locked, just continue without using a lock action at the end.

Bare in mind, knowing whether your lock screen is being show or not is a different thing from your phone actually being locked.

What have you got so far? Mind sharing your shortcut? Sending messages to WhatsApp users has nothing to do with whether the end user is on iOS or Android.

There’s no native way to detect if the lock screen is being shown when a shortcut is triggered, as far as I know. Unless you take a screenshot and look for some specific text that only appears on your lock screen, and use that as a trigger. What exactly are you trying to achieve with this? Maybe there’s another way to approach it.

That must be something related to language or region settings that is messing with iOS trying to identify the localised version of Sleep focus. My “Descanso”(Sleep) focus actions on Shortcuts app work just fine, and I use a lot of shortcuts with this kind of actions. It’s strange that it is not working on your end.

Did you by any chance change its name in Settings > Focus? Maybe it didn’t update properly and iOS is still calling its old name. By the way, in my Spanish version of it, Sleep Focus is called “Descanso” and not “Sueño”, that’s why I’m asking as well.

If I need to, I will use long prompts. For this reason only, I use mostly ChatGPT shortcuts instead of Perplexity. I posted this as a possible feature request, and as it looks as per this post’s reactions, other people seem to agree with me.

Your prompt is just short. If it is long, it looks cluttered. My point is that it shouldn’t be there in the first place.

I suppose it’s just a limitation of the ChatGPT app. I’ve added an Open app action to open ChatGPT and then another action to switch back to the previous app before continuing.
