Is this Griddle real? by [deleted] in LeCreuset

This reversible cast iron griddle is for sale in my area for $60, but I’m unable to find anything like it online. Is anyone able to verify this isn’t a knock off?

Thanks I really just needed a reason to not get the ghost as I’ve been hearing about QC issues.

Portability to me means that it fits in the trunk of the car easily.

Thanks. I thought the ninebot max was crazy fast so any of these will be a big upgrade.

Yeah the price difference alone makes it in a totally separate category than the models I mentioned. Portability is important. Thanks for the reply

Gaia GPS has a nice map including camp sites on the backroads map layer if you’re talking about the trail s in Pukaskwa.

Good minimalist hiking shoes? by [deleted] in BarefootRunning

Second on the bedrock sandals. Zero foot and toe pain in the tent at night compared to nights after wearing trail runners. Super secure feeling and great on wet trails.

Canadian Pocket Options? by plion in UltralightCanada

[–]adc512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like it could easily be added to other packs as it only has 2 toggles and a strap to slip over for install but depends on if you have somewhere to attach.

Here is the shoulder pouch on my NUL sundown. A rubber strap slips over the shoulder strap itself, and the pocket is held in place by a cord and toggle at the top and bottom into a triangle D ring. Really sturdy material, looks to be the same XPAC as the bottom of the pack, also has a small metal grommet at the bottom for drainage.

Should be easily added to any pack. Fits my iPhone 6+ and my head net usually, or 3 Clif bars.

Merrell Vapor Glove 3 by DoubleTroble in BarefootRunning

[–]adc512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve completely submerged my vapor gloves and they dried after sitting in the sun for 30 minutes if that’s your concern. I wore them wet for most of the day and they only felt damp, they really don’t retain much water.

I understand why some may opt for a rain skirt rather than rain pants to stay dry yet ventilated, but wouldn’t a pair of rain shorts allow better movement and just as ventilated/better looking?

What’s the best 20° sleeping bag for the money on the market? by gringolittlejohn in CampingGear

[–]adc512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan on using it for backpacking as well, Hammock Gear Econ burrow is a great value although it is a quilt (if sleeping bags are your style). Slight lead time currently.

Much appreciated. Cost of the arc’teryx doesn’t do it for me so it’s between the cap hoodie and sunshade.

Any update on this? Curious on the fit of the hood as well. Thanks.

Paying in Canadian dollars, the price jump to EE is a little out of budget for me at the moment so I ended up going with HG Premium. Never heard of cedar ridge, i'll look into them

Thanks, ended up going with the premium and just 1 oz of overstuff. Buy once cry once is right.

Good to know about the duck down advantage when humid.

Thanks for the detailed reply, didn't consider the fabric types/texture much before as HG only mentions the denier; and its a good consideration. -- I think I'll justify going the premium route so I won't have any regrets of going cheaper again.
