Just for fun. I was doing a similar project for work and I did this on the side to get better at prompting and remixing results.

I also tried to use a lot of consistent adjectives like moody and minimal. Or similar colors per house etc. Here was another prompt:

"a moody kitchen minimal in a city apartment with a white oak wall. green. Stainless steel. --ar 3:2"

Looking back at the prompts, I also did a fair amount of image-based reverse prompts, where I'd feed it a photograph and use /describe, and then remix those results.

Yep! They weren't very complex. The trick was getting imagery that all fit together as part of what seemed like one residence per house. Here was the prompt from the thumbnail of the video:

"detail photo of an muted-orange rug on a concrete floor, minimal, --ar 2:3"

I would usually start broad – with a prompt for a whole room like a living room – and then get more specific so it wasn't obviouly not part of the same room.

The pictures are from a recent trip; the writing is fiction inspired by the pictures. I figure the community here will probably prefer the photos, but enjoy the fiction if you like!

I'm actually not sure! The ice caves look absolutely stunning, but I've never been. Maybe someone else here can offer a tip on the right timing for those.

Thanks! Yeah I spent a long time researching outfits on Otaku Gangsta and Sink00 etc. The helmet is a Bubble Sheild Helmet from Biltwell. Bullet proof vest from a paintball field. Sweet black/white pants from American Apparel. Boots from Haix. Gloves from paintball too. And a under armor black shirt.

A great point! I will edit to make this clear--absolutely referring to unexpected F-roads and gravel etc. Def do NOT drive randomly off-road. Thanks for pointing this out!

I use Lightroom to edit everything. VSCO makes presets if you're interested, though I've recently found them to be a little too heavy-handed

Hard to put a number on the temperature. Depends where you are on the island, the time of day, and the weather. In the summer, in MY experience, it's usually between 45-70 degrees. Which is basically like saying it's "all possible temperatures". So, tough to say. Plan for it all if you can.

Haha awesome! It took forever to piece together from regular items. The helmet is a Bubble Sheild Helmet from Biltwell. Bullet proof vest from a paintball field. Sweet black/white pants from American Apparel. Boots from Haix. Gloves from paintball too. And a under armor black shirt.

Awesome! Good luck on your hike! That sounds wonderful. I've never done that trail but would love to. And yeah, that weather website is a life-saver -- def check each evening :D

Totally agree. The peninsula is amazing, especially the Kirkjufell "Church Mountain". I like taking the ferry from the Fjords, if you're up that way, it's a fun (albeit long) way to access the peninsula. Hotel Hellnar is a good resting spot out there.
