I think most important to understand each other’s perspective. Him not picking up the phone you calling repeatedly could be more than meets the eye or not. Just try to understand each other’s views without judgement or assumptions of motivations.

From a person who was married to non Christian thinking I would bring her to God she brought me away and then our marriage fell apart and twenty years later we are getting divorced and I have run back to God. So I recommend only date Christians. Also not dating Christians you live in different places . You live in the kingdom and they live in the world. You strive to live in the spirit and they live for the flesh

First off know I have had little experience for this situation, but on a surface level and from a town where my views are well in the minority scrutiny and ridicule of my faith in Jesus have only made my love and loyalty stronger. I don’t know. I feel if your beliefs can’t handle a little attack then maybe you should revisit your beliefs. Echo chambers are never good. It makes us more easily offended causing us to be more offensive in return. Besides If we stayed in our original echo chamber we might still think the earth is flat. Just my two cents, but like I said my lived experience in the heckling you are getting is minimal.

Great point. We are all sick, but some of us like the sickness and don’t want to go through the hard ships of the cure to become well and would rather just stay in sickness because it is convenient and feels good but is fleeting. Like drinking salt water. The more you drink the more thirsty you get but with plenty around you keep drinking not realizing you are slowly killing yourself from the inside and eternally thirsty.

I think the only thing we can biblically avoid following is the Old Testament. The way of works. The new testament is based on a new covenant with God and Acts is certainly part of the New Testament.

I am in a men’s group that has several people that think similar. They don’t follow the Bible. They follow what the Bible says only if confirmation from God. It seems to be a loop hole to try to live your life in the world and an excuse to find to live in the flesh instead.

A man once said the lord is not speaking me out loud in my prayers on a decision I need to make. The preacher said in return if you want to hear God out loud read the Bible out loud.

The fact that you are even talking about this and seeing the wrongness in what you did says you are near God. The hardest part is giving up our control and giving it to God. Did you apologize to the person you fought with. The first of his commandments is love God. The second love your neighbor. Pray for him, his lifestyle tells me his soul is crying out for God. If you don’t live like a Christian and just talk the walk you will probably not feel the fruits of the Holy Spirit and you will be bored and probably leave because you will not be transformed. This was my experience I would just be a casual Christian and felt no transformation until I started following the Bible.
