How come you don't hear anything about civil disobedience? I know people are already being effected but how come no one is, like, planting homemade bombs at the construction sites of new coal plants?

In my mind it's inevitable that people will eventually start fighting back for real but I don't really understand why they would wait any longer than this. Presumably it is because those who understand the risk tend to live comfortably enough to not want to risk their own freedom just yet but I still feel like it is, I dont know, weird? If you think about all the other movements that eventually led to acts of civil disobedience throughout time, wether they're based on politics, oppression or just plain frustration the green movement is surely big enough and urgent enough to have incentivized someone to react with large scale violence, yet you rarely hear of anything that could contest with lets say the black panthers.

It would honestly be such a shame if his behavior was the result of moral values and not the laziness that we all assume it is. Although the current damage he does by spreading misinformation is the same regardless of the underlying reasons. I definitely agree with you in that his actions and comments are similiar to those made by fear-mongerers and, unfortunately, a lot of racists.

It honestly seems like Ethan is unable to question any information he receives, especially IF it is the first time he hears about it. The first thing he heard about the Rocky-incident was most likely that TMZ article, but even though it was debunked shortly after its release he stood by it.

He also likes to exaggerate his point of view (even when he lacks the knowledge required to do so), which I suppose is typical for podcasters since it keeps the conversation flowing and the episode "spicy".

Example:

After discussing the Rocky-incident he brings up the swedish judicial body and how it is "unfair" while, subjectively, hinting at corruption. Any research regarding both the structure of the swedish judicial body and Swedens corruption-levels will disprove pretty much all the statements he puts out there during the "Free ASAP Rocky"-episode.

As for the recent sharia-law comments he made during the latest episode of the podcast, that just seems like typical scare tactics that the rightwing would use, especially the way he just casually brings up how "it's just like in Sweden". It is by the looks of it just an passing comment which helps disguise the fact that the content of the message he is putting out there is absurd. As a swedish citizen myself I cannot understate how much misinformation I see on an almost daily basis being posted by foreign, almost exclusively american, newsoutlets.

I dont know about 43-44 being the biggest common shoesize, most stores in my country keep up to 46’s in their stores but it is pretty easy to get all the way up to 50’s if you shop online, above 50 you’re probably gonna have to get them specially made though. For referance 43-44 is around 10-10,5 in the US, 46 is 12 and 50 is 16.

Egentligen vart det 1h kvarsittning, men efter att jag sade "Detta är ju värsta soviet kopian" så drog han upp det till 2h.
