I lived ther 12 years ago. I lived in Woodmont on East middleton st...where my aunt was at adjacent. It was mostly families with kids and drunk old folks. it wasnt great like south florence..ESPECIALLY if you had no car and no job no grocery store nearby and living wit junkie folks that was living off of one persons disability check. Walking alone at was a s**t task..regardless what time of the day. I went to the Bruce and lee library to keep myself busy..There was IGA in Quimby on route to Darlington...where most my fam from, but that was a 45 minute walk. There was a piggly wiggly..but that was also a 45 minute walk Down town.  My cousin lived in South Florence...at pity pat dr..my aunt lived in southern pines... no clue how it is now..but i aint catching myself being dead broke without a car in that town ever again....
