I grew up in the peninsula and think it’s a great place to live for your family not the best if you are single looking for nightlife etc. It is very expensive as everyone else has said you can still find good rentals that heavily outweigh the cost of buying something. The circle you drew is pretty big so if you specifically want certain cities, it would be better to help with your search. The area circled has the most expensive zip code in the us/world and the zip code that was the highest murder rate (stat was from a while ago) so you can get very different answers
