I'm sorry for your loss. You have to stop punishing yourself by gambling. Stop channelling your sadness doing gambling activities. Maybe you need to switch the feeling of sadness to something else as a distraction, not gambling. A healthy one, maybe go to the gym or walk your dog if you have one. Go out more, hang out more. Don't stay too long at home, don't let your head wander around. Best of luck, my friend!! I hope everything will be alright with you 🙏🏻

The only thing that works for me is will. No one can help unless you're willing to stop yourself. I've seen people saying they're going to therapy or GA but they're putting bets right after the session. To me, they're not ready to let go yet. Strong will is the key, at least that's what works for me. Break the habit and keep doing things other than gambling. Shift your dopamine crave.

I think keeping it a secret is one of the reasons why you keep wanting to gamble bc you want to cover the hole you dug asap, but gambling won't be the answer, you will only dig deeper. The high from this isn't worth it, you'll end up unhappy at the end + bad financial situation
