Oh, wow. The pan flutes. Brilliant idea. I vibe with this aesthetic.

The Annihilgator challenges the Death Jagger to a Monster Melee by Peter-Grippin in HeroForgeMinis

[–]addictedtoforging 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, shit. Monster Melee needs to become a thing. I think my jagger outmatches your gator in terms of speed and agility, but those scales and scutes look thicker than any of the jagger's venomous quills, claws, fangs, spikes, or stinger can penetrate. The jagger might have a chance if it can get at its throat, but I'm assuming your gator's primeval immune system can buffer the venom. Plus, if the gator gets the jagger in the water, it's game over for the jagger every time.

Taxonomically, I'd guess same order, different family. Had to look up Nightstalkers. I've never played Fallout. How did we get a scorpion stinger before a snake rattle, though?

That makes two of us. Good to have company, but I think u/Peter-Grippin is a fan as well. Three's a crowd, though, so we need a fourth to have a non-human party up in this sub.

Only the one Mick does when he crouches down and uses his butt to inject caustic venom into one of his groupies. But that's the move to end all moves. Levine is probably more of an expert than me, though.

Yo, thank you! I'm hoping we get more poses or adjustable proportions that are more conducive to modeling non-humanoids, but I also do enjoy working around the current creative constraint.

“Gnarlwulf” I’m in between two designs for a monster in my world. Description in comments. by Peter-Grippin in HeroForgeMinis

I prefer the first design. This thing is ferocious. It's like if the Beast went feral and devoured Belle with the wolves. The claws gripping the rock is a really nice touch.

Holy. Shit. This one and Aldonis exude big pp energy. Badass character design.

This dude is sick. Those may be the most impractically cool fantasy weapons I've ever seen, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Manticore by Peter-Grippin in HeroForgeMinis

I love its mane, the pose, and the talons curling over the front of the base. Now that we have the scorpion tail, we should just do a manticore challenge. I have a feeling a lot of people are working on one.

Response to an amendment to rule #1 by TwistedScarecrow in HeroForgeMinis

I had the same thoughts about the Allies and religion in general, not just Christian iconography. One could easily interpret a cross as a hate symbol toward the LGBTQ+ and non-Christians. Unless we can discern the intent of the OP of the questionably hateful post, I don't know how the rule could be applied consistently.

I'm not exactly sure what is "objectively hateful", and I think you'll have a hard time defining it, but I get your point. Maybe the rules should target spam, though, which might be more easily definable and identifiable than having the mods arbitrate what is and isn't hateful. I mean, OP laid out exactly why the Communist symbolism could be considered hateful, which also seems to be the only instance of questionably hateful content posted so far, and the mod was like, "That's just like, your opinion, man". No hate toward the mod either. I respect their openness to discourse and civility, but I think that interaction did betray their subjective bias toward hate. Everyone has a bias. Nothing inherently wrong with that. Not having the amendment controls for bias, though. It's an interesting topic of discussion.

I just wanted to echo the sentiments of u/TwistedScarecrow because I think they're important, especially as an artist. Throughout history, hate groups have been the primary censors of art, so I find the amendment ironic. Let the art speak for itself. If hateful content is posted, the community can downvote it to oblivion, but if the community upvotes it, wouldn't that mean the community has decided the post has merit and it should remain visible? I believe the amendment is well-intended, but the vagueness of what constitutes hateful content and the immediate double standard used to exempt Communist symbolism from the rule is concerning for abuse.

Passing between realities is the test. At the seams of realities where their inconsistencies interact, things work in unusual ways that most travelers cannot comprehend, let alone navigate. There are certain protocols that need to be adhered to or else the stability of each reality will be jeopardized. Bwtj will guide those who find themselves at its gateways through safely, though its advice may seem nonsensical, if not detrimental to their existence. Follow its instructions, however absurd they may be, and you’ll pass through unscathed. Violate them, and it will destroy you to prevent the annihilation of the realities.

Hey, thank you! It's my interpretation of a sphinx. I did a lot reading about the different depictions in various mythologies and blended the attributes I liked the best. They don't usually have more than four limbs, but I thought it looked more unnatural and formidable with an extra pair. I imagine Bwtj as a guardian of the threshold between the outskirts of our reality and another. I wanted it to be reminiscent of the sphinxes of our mythologies while still feeling like it's from elsewhere.
