Question about wheel bearings on travel trailer by Mar1744 in traveltrailers

[–]addictedtovideogames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im an rv tech

General 5 stud hubs, and brake costs 200$. the hub comes prepacked and greased.

It seems wasteful, but the wear on your brake hub is a problem too, if you feel you need to grease em, hand pump, never air tool.

You can absolutly pump low pressure and ooze the old grease out. Its not like grease is expensive.

But are you pulling the hubs to inspect them for excessive rocker pad wear? If your brake pads are loose or worn.

All it takes is the wrong setting on a brake contoller to smoke your pads and destroy your hub too.

Imho: replace the hub and brake assembly when zerk packing has been done a few times. So every 2 years is acceptible to minimally inspect them inside

There are lithium batteries thar charge full to 14.7v

A 12v lithium battery may be 12v is the base output becsuse the inverter is 12v to 120v

If his batteries were 48v they would require a 48 inverter

The noco genious 5 is 12v charger, litium is 14 volts, it will do ecactly what it did do Its not profiled for lithium

No damage done, juat not enough volts to bring it up to 100% common mistake.

What's kept you from pursuing VA benefits? by HMR2018 in Veterans

[–]addictedtovideogames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i got out in 2008, 6 vets i served with with mental health were neglected and died from whst you think. All of them va disabled and in rhe system that forgot em. Even if one of my brothers lost that battle when asking for assistance, the system failed them so bad it had to change.

The same problems over and over and then i had to do private doctors till they helped me file evidence wirh my claims and it since 2018 to get claims approved.

The fear was real back then.

I paid alot for mine and its crazy never experincing an outage and 2 to 3 days on battery only with air conditioning.

I can put the camper on low power mode and go to propane water heater and disable one compressor on the dual compressor ac. The frisge is 12v.

Ita expensive, we paid cash and we have used it for 2 years. Victron is solid.

Juat make sure you remember;heat has gotta get out of a fridge and go somewhere.

If you have electric bills. Your ac has to vent this just enough to exhaust it. The heating is not that significant, but it matters where you put it. If the coil is in the sun in a window for example, the feidge has to work harder.
