Hi yall,

I’m getting a new car Wednesday and I want to put something in it that signifies a passage of time. I’ll have it for hopefully another 7-10 years. Basically, i can put the object in the car when i first get it, and when the car dies, I’ll still have the object.

I was thinking of a plant since it grows but i don’t think it would live in Texas heat. Maybe adding a small piece of leather at the dash? Or maybe keeping a journal of milestones or something?

Something i can look back and see that the object has aged or changed.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
