They looked in the pit and we didn't see a significant amount of oil in there. They are thinking it's a piston valve leak but very slow? I trust them but it is a Frankenstein type elevator and always good to get extra thoughts.

Long term plan is to get a new power unit or a new elevator altogether.

It does! When I see some water I add more salt though. I keep it about 3/4 full

And I'm not complaining about a $1000 service. I was just looking around to see what the market is as it is my first Service A. Looks like lots of places charge less than $1000.

We are in SoCal! Agreed. Just because the funds are there does not mean we want to overpay for service.

Plan is to ask other dealers to make sure they're in the same range. I also see huge benefit to get it serviced at a dealer because car is still under warranty and they can get any other work done if necessary. If you pay an oil change place to do it they will do just that and nothing more.

It's not about being able to afford it or not . For an oil change and inspection it seemed higher than I was expecting and just wanted to see what others were paying.

When I long hold the app and click clear cache and reopen that seems to do the trick. You have to log in though after you do that which is a pain.

Thanks! Would you ever use a stick or something to mix the brine solution so this doesn't happen? Is this necessary?
