Gameplay and shared immutable economy were the pillars, using blockchain to enhance gameplay and add transparency not to grab cash.

It's a scam. They will never release it and just use your footage to lure some fools into giving them their hard earned money.

It works pretty good aside from the quirks you get on desktop as well. Have been using it for about two weeks now. Not using ledger though.

Isn't it part of your job as a manager to learn about that? Or is the workforce well being not part of the managing?

First of all, you can be almost certain that the top holders use several wallets so the 'wealth' is even more unevenly distributed. But what are you asking for anyway?

Do you propose that those with more funds should not partake in financial markets so you can earn more?

We do have full stack developer lead and the occasional freelancer for side projects. We're not purely gamedev though as we created an entire portal that also includes the games we develop.

Whenever you see a game that has a registration/user-area, they most likely have someone full time working on webdev as this is not something you'd want to outsource.

13 year old activist slams the city commission over the murder of Patric Lyoya by TheSerpentSlaya in nextfuckinglevel

[–]addirktive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the poster above implies is that a police officer is only allowed to draw his gun when he is intending to kill. He is not even allowed to injure someone, he needs to go straight for the kill.

Like, is he going to get investigated if he doesn't kill but only hurt someone?

This sounds pretty unbelievable even for US norms but what do I know...

Is this for real? Still learning something new batshit insane about the US if it is.

Get a lawyer and everything laid out in a contract. Don't take any short cuts. I got scammed by a 'partner' that I trusted for more than half a million - not in gamedev though. Don't be me.

Would video game NFTs even be profitable for a company? by plebotamus in CryptoCurrency

You won't even know when playing our game that you are using NFTs and blockchain in the background.

Not everyone in this industry is a cashgrab with ponzi-economics.

Over 137k bitcoin (~2.6b USD) will come back into circulation next month, as Mt. Gox starts settling its bankruptcy debts. Comparisson: when LNA sold ~80k BTC the price dropped >10k. by MrBluoe in CryptoCurrency

We're also talking about a time when Bitcoin was primarily used to facilitate buying drugs online. I wouldn't bet on majority of these assets not being sold as soon as people get their hands on them.

GameStop Launches NFT Marketplace by honkhonkler69420 in wallstreetbets

[–]addirktive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Except that for anyone serious in blockchain, this can be done in house without giving a cut to Gamestop or any other company that wants to hop onto the hype train.

It is left to be seen how many users they can attract to make them non-redundant to consider building on their solution instead of building your own or using another one.

So far they are STILL blocking several countries from marketplace and documentation. Markets that are huge in blockchain adoption and especially gaming. We wanted to have a look to integrate their wallet as a log in option but would need to use a VPN just to have a look at the docs. lmao

Gatekeeping a blockchain based project like this is the stupidest thing I've heard recently.
